Update below
Despite the vociferous and righteous public outcry against ABC's "Path to 9/11" docudrama, it still appears that Disney honcho Robert Iger is choosing to air a politicized and inaccurate account of our great American tragedy. This travesty of a film, which is being fronted by only the Republican 9/11 Commission co-chair Thomas Kean (who's now making money off that role as paid consultant on this project), was initiated by Loren and David Cunningham and their right-wing Christian missionary group (YWAM) in tandem with its auxiliary arm, The Film Institute, and promoted by uber-wingnut David Horowitz. The Center for Popular Culture, Horowitz's LA-based group, announced two years ago that it would launch a widespread PR campaign to blame Bill Clinton for the 9/11 attacks. Read more at Seeingtheforest:
According to Max Blumenthal at Huffington Post, Republican strategist (and Karl Rove friend) David Horowitz was involved from the start in ABC's Path to 9/11 smear blaming Clinton for 9/11. This is significant because Horowitz has been involved for some time in a strategic PR effort to shift blame for 9/11 from Bush to Clinton. According to a Feb. 26, 2002 story in O'Dwyer's PR Daily, titled "PR CAMPAIGN BLAMES CLINTON FOR SEPT. 11 ATTACKS",
The Center for the Study of Popular Culture, in Los Angeles, has begun a PR campaign to pin the blame of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the Clinton Administration. The Center has mailed copies of David Horowitz's new pamphlet entitled "How the Left Undermined America's Security," to about 1,500 media outlets on Feb. 19. Horowitz is president of the Center.
The 46-page pamphlet charges that the U.S. national security interests were undermined by the left, leading to the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11
Joe Conason has been reporting on this blame-Clinton-for-9/11 cabal since 2002, and you can get more background here. (sorry about the ad)
Disney/ABC's blatant refusal to honor the requests of the citizens of this country--from the left and the right--should serve as a wake-up call for all Americans to look closely at what has become of our media, and most importantly, to our publicly-licensed airwaves, off which Mr. Iger and his conglomerate ilk make billions. The American public--led by the progressive blogs and progressive membership groups, then media, then even conservatives--came together to call out ABC over their irresponsible disregard for the integrity of our national memory concerning events that led to the attacks on 9/11. But this effort has fallen on deaf ears. Iger even thinks he's above the reproach of the 9/11 Families!
September 9, 2006
Dear Mr. Iger,
I have seen the advertisements for and read the press coverage of ABC’s film, “The Path to 9/11,” that your network plans to air this Sunday and Monday to coincide with the fifth anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks. I am writing to express my concern and deep reservations about this film and to ask you, out of respect for the victims of 9/11 and their families, not to air it.
My wife worked for the Walt Disney Corporation and was a victim of the terrorist attacks as a passenger on American Airlines Flight 11. I have great respect for you and your company and I know that you must have worked hard to make a good film. Admittedly, I have not seen it. However, accounts from those who have suggest that it contains inaccurate and invented scenes. It seems to me that fictionalizing this tragedy does not honor the memory of those who were lost on September 11th.
Given the gravity of this event for our nation and the personal loss I suffered, I believe it is critically important that we do everything possible to prevent another 9/11. That begins with making sure that we are united in our understanding of what we could have done better in the years, months and weeks leading up to the attacks of 2001. I am deeply concerned that Americans will watch this film and not fully understand – or be led to misunderstand – the true history of this tragedy.
I feel the 9/11 Commission Report was a correct and very responsible accounting of the terrorist attacks of 2001. Since “The Path to 9/11” deviates from this report in key instances, I strongly and respectfully urge you not to air this film.
Sincerely,
John Beug
We must take the energy and awareness created over the last week and funnel it into meaningful ways of taking back control of OUR media. Yes, we must organize boycotts of Disney and ABC, and keep up the pressure. We must demand that ABC give equal time to critics of "Path to 9/11." We can propose programming with historians and investigators, and those who were there as a counter-balance in the coming weeks. We must push ABC News to bring a balanced account of the controversy over their network's Path to Shame (h/t LATimes). We must do all of these things, but more importantly, we must step back and look at the big picture concerning the need for reform of our whorish corporate media.
It is time for America to join a concerted media reform movement, so the Igers of this world are kept in check. Please visit the sites below and see the hard work these organizations are doing. Join their lists. Donate money. Offer your knowledge and talents to their tremendouse efforts to save our democracy through media reform.
With the help of MediaChannel, we can also offer an alternative to ABC's Path to Shame on Sunday and Monday nights. Director David Olson tells me they will offer up, for free viewing, the entire film "9/11 Press for Truth," which was just released this week. Without $40 million in corporate backing, this film needs the support of the netroots to help provide a balance to ABC's airbrushing of history. The filmmakers deserve our support, as they've done the hard work of bringing to the screen the voices of the 9/11 families, and synthesized more than 7000 media reports with the help of Paul Thompson, author of The Complete 9/11 Timeline. Let's do all we can to get the netroots driving traffic to MediaChannel this weekend to watch this movie.
On Monday, in Washington, DC, the "9/11 Press for Truth" filmmakers and the 9/11 families will hold a press conference at the National Press Club, too, launching a campaign calling for a new investigation. Tell the media to go! From the film's producers:
Polls now show that a majority of Americans support a new investigation. “Once again,” says producer Kyle Hence, “the 9/11 families will play a crucial role in galvanizing the public’s will to confront a combative administration, a pliant Congress and an apathetic media corps that has studiously avoided dealing with countervailing facts, inconvenient evidence and excessive secrecy. The message these families bring must be heard, loud and clear. They deserve answers.”
A lobbying campaign calling for a new investigation will be launched on September 5th, the day of DVD release, and continue into the week of September 11th, during which every member of Congress will receive a copy of the documentary.
Given the damage Thomas Kean has now done to the bi-partisan excuse for an effort that is the 9/11 Commission Report, I agree more than ever before that we need a full and independent investigation into what really happened, so I salute these "Press for Truth" folks' efforts whole-heartedly.
But let's not stop at just watching their movie and promoting it to the netroots and media. Just as Scholastic is providing lesson plans, based on "Path to 9/11" to 100,000 teachers around the country, let's come up with our own campaign to get "Press for Truth" into the schools, too.
Let's call on National Education Association president Reg Weaver and his 3.2 million members to get the word out to all our public schools. The NEA could provide toolkits online to teachers based on this film, so that kids can compare and contrast ABC's fraud with real reporting. Perhaps the good folks at Center for Media and Democracy, including Sheldon Rampton and John Stauber, can help to create the lesson plans that the NEA could offer.
And Steve Jobs: Why don't you stand up and do the right thing here, too? Get your Apple folks to pay these hardworking "Press for Truth" filmmakers some money for the rights to provide free downloads via ipods--and market the hell out of that effort, too, please. Afterall, how much did you pay Disney/ABC for the rights to pawn off "Path to 9/11" to ipod owners?
Folks, we only learned about this whole mess last Friday, and we've done a tremendous job organizing and getting the word out to people. I don't want to see that energy dissipate. Let's find ways, as we keep the pressure on Disney/ABC, to fight the larger battle of media reform, and to reward filmmakers who are trying so hard to get the truth out.
You with me?

Boycott ABC!
Jennifer,
scanned your post and I’m gonna go back and read it through. Just wanted to point out that some of us are watching ABC football. For the past three hours of coverage of a fairly important (Oklahoma-Washington) game, there has been no mention of PT911. Had they been running promos yesterday or earlier?
I’m in.
Don’t forget that Preznit 9/11Bullhorn will be interrupting Americans (and the world who watches wondering WTF!?) during ABC’s propadrama.
Also, go here http://onegoodmove.org/1gm/ scoll down, click on the ‘Bill Maher - New Rules’ and watch Bill rip away @ W. Thnx Mr. Maher, I needed that!
I’m in.
Hi Tom– So writing letters and threatening boycotts for a network who is about to broadcast lies counts as being against free speech? Come on- you want to be taken seriously don’t you?
Bill Clinton responsible for 9/11? I don’t think so. Let’s see an investigation into the MSM’s accountability into their collusion and support for the Bush lies which led to Iraq. Damn CBS, NBC and ABC for there help in bringing on the Iraq War and the Israeli (and Bush sanctioned) invasion of Lebanon.
People who don’t favor free speech do things like prohibit demonstrations in the vicinity of the president.
no LieberChow for the obvious trolls, please !
Does anyone have Johnny Depp’s e-mail, snail mail or agent’s address? He has a lot riding on Pirates Three - a Disney flick - and, I believe, hates bush.
Tom@4, get a life,So Bush says repugs will still be in control after Nov.2006.Then I suggest we do what other 3rd world countries, have a coup. I know we are not supposed to hate, but this MAN??? makes it impossible. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (I feel better now.)sigh
You can host a house party or arrange for a community screening of 9/11 Press for Truth.
http://911pressfortruth.com/volunteer
I have an e-mail out requesting dates from my friends/associates asking when they are free to set up a screening. While I have a captive audience in my house, I will let them know about your plan Jennifer.
With you, Jen, you bet!
Someone told me Steve Jobs’ email is steve at apple dot com. Can anyone confirm? It seems too simple for someone w/ such a high profile.
Jennifer, you are fantastic. Thank you for organizing and pointing us in the right direction this entire week. I have received responses from approximately half of the ABC network sponsors I’ve emailed (thanks to Benjamin at http://birdoblog.birdobot.com/disney_propaganda for that great list!). I also received a late-Friday nite response from the GM of owned&operated KGO-7 in San Francisco. I’ve heard from a handful of KGO’s local advertisers — one said they agree with my views and have passed their concerns and mine up the national advertising heirarchy.
John Aravosis is watching PT911 and has told his readers about the first few minutes, in which the Boston ticket counter employees of American Airlines, and the airline itself, are libeled. I believe this presents an opportunity to engage a powerful corporate ally in our fight against the Mouse.
EPU’d and re-presented for your consideration:

Here’s another angle of attack on ABC/Disney — let’s enlist the good people at American Airlines, ask them to protect their brand and their Boston employees from libel.
Here’s the comment I wrote at the CONTACT US/CUSTOMER SERVICE tab at http://www.aa.com/
Please take a moment to enlist a potential ally in our fight with the Mouse. American Airlines really could engage on this in the next 36 hours if enough emails reach them through their website, don’t you think? While ABC apparently doesn’t care about pissing off Albright, Berger, Clinton, and a bunch of lefty bloggers — they might think twice about pissing off another Corporation.
Try it.
It’s entirely possible that emails with the word “highjacker” will be flagged by their computers for immediate handling, raising the level of concern and engaging a human person. Please consider this option to engage a Corporation in our fight against a Corporation.
Thanks again, Jennifer — your slogging this week has been inspirational to many more people than you will ever know! You are right, let’s take back our airwaves and our media. And, we may get our country back in the bargain!

I still hope they air it. The defamation trial will be must-see TV, and at the end of it, the only organization with the rights to Mickey Mouse will be the Clinton Library.

Boycott Disney.
Boycott Disney.
Boycott Disney.
I repeat:
Boycott Disney.
And let them know you’re going to do that.
One suggestion made at DKos yesterday for those of us who have TIVO or DVR machines is to do the thumbs down on ABC programs. Advertiser,s it seems, do pay attention to such things.
As for curricula, Facing History and Ourselves often does great work in this regard. They might be willing to do something for this.
A commenter elsewhere also recommended calling your cable company on the phone and asking them to help you block ABC, ABC Family, ESPN, and the Disney Channel from your television. Go slow! Take time with the customer service phone people; supervisors will notice; productivity will slow; the cable company might be pissed at ABC.
You can e-mail Jobs at leadership@apple.com…
Jobs is concerned in an, ahem, paramount way about the value of his brand names.
He is not concerned over 9/11. Move a day forward, though, and God Hisself will be blowing bells and ringing whistles for the latest revamped iPod dog ‘n’ pony show.
It is on that day we’ll see with the iTunes movie store update whether “Path to 9/11″ will be made available for downloads there.
Jobs is too big a narcissist to care about the country, the truth or the personal and global effects of 9/11.
However… if this botch stains any of his hardware (which, if you own a new Apple laptop, you know they can stain themselves quite nicely), expect some after the fact action.
Thanks for the latest in a great series of posts here at FDL.
Here’s some background on Tom Kean:
Kean family roots go back to NJ politics in 1770s.
Kean typical Eastern Establishment Republican, somewhat liberal on social issues, wrote book about inclusive politics.
Educated at Princeton, history major. Masters from Columbia Teacher’s College.
High school history teacher, with family money.
Served in state legislature, rising to leadership position [IIRC Speaker of the Assembly].
Elected governor in 1981.
Mostly governed as “borrow and spend” (method used later by Christie Whitman) Republican, leaving behind huge budget deficit for next governor, Jim Florio [who was punished by voters for raising taxes to balance state budget, getting voted out after one term].
Kean left office with popularity intact, and became president of Drew University, a private school founded with an affiliation with the Methodist Church.
Has served on lots of commissions and special panels, especially dealing with education.
These people are busier than a cat trying to bury shit on a hot tin roof covering their asses.
Let’s make some retroactive laws to cover our asses for all the illegal shit we have been doing.
History? Re-write it.
Blame Clinton.

Don’t know him.

Jaw-dropping that a global corporation can willingly corkscrew itself into the ground like this … or even for one minute contemplate doing so.
Have they all completely parted their moorings?
Does anyone know when the next sweeps week is? Doesn’t the amount of viewers each show gets during this week affect how much money a network charges its advertisers? If we all mousecotted ABC during the entire sweeps week- would it have a significant impact?
chimezatmidnight @ 21
Careful now, I am currently typing this an a lovely iMac.
Regardless, let Disney, Apple, & ABC know that you’re pissed.
could i hear a bit more about the free viewing of “9-11 Press for Truth”?
I am with you. And I agree with this part of your post where you recognize that the problem is beyond Disney/ABC.
For decades now our media has increasingly answered to large corporations whose concerns are more and more detached from the economic and other concerns of average people. This is going to be a big issue.
Since we have neither cable or satellite, I can’t get ESPN, so won’t be watching football. I cannot tolerate the sound of Bush’s voice, and can’t stand to look at him either, so I won’t be watching or listening to him on any channel.
I have Spotlighted all of these posts to my local ABC affiliate, as well as to reporters, hoping to appeal to some deeply buried remembrance of what reporters are supposed to do with information.
Will never, ever feel the same way about Disney, or anything associated with it. Ever.
I hope the film tanks like nothing has ever tanked before. I hope the stockholders give Disney a loud piece of their minds about this enormous expenditure, that has now been exposed as propaganda. I hope ABC’s ratings go into free-fall. I hope ABC employees quit before they will allow themselves to shill for this piece of crap.
I’ve been reading some of the coverage of the Senate Reports that were issued yesterday, and while I should not be surprised at how the GOP is spinning it, I am pretty gobsmacked at how easily they dismiss the findings. Is it fear of what admitting the truth would mean? Or fear that the glory days are O-V-E-R? I can just see Bill Kristol’s smug grin as he tells us all that it still all comes back to whether Saddam should still be in power, and if the anser is “no” then we are all just quibbling over the details. I hope there’s a special place in hell for that weasel.
Oh, my - deep breaths - need to go do something to mellow me out a little before I punch a hole in the wall…
Disney/ABC is a test for us. It is easy to get mad, talk boycott, and run in circles. This is what Limpdick and the right expect from the barking moonbats; then it will blow over and on to the next outrage. The christo-fascists don’t forget, six years later they are still on message with Clinton.
Is this a “never forget” event for the left? If it is, we need to take names and plan how to deal with these people. We need to put the heat on the Dems. No more threats, just action.
We should put our candidates on the record to support congressional investigations of possible criminal violation of election laws, FCC violations etc. Encourage Clinton et al to file law suits early and often.
This Path to 9/11 outrage has been in planning and preparation for years; if they get away with it, we are really screwed.
I’m in!
What about David Horowitz? Where does his money come from and what weakness does he have? One Rovian tactic is hit big dogs with anything. I think hitting big dogs like Horowitz with an expose of truth (who he and where his money is made) might be helpful.

Excellent idea!
Nikki Finke wrote a piece about the absence of Disney board chair George Mitchell.
That may not be so much of a mystery after all.
Mitchell leaves Disney at year’s end. He arrived there at his close friend Eisner’s behest to protect and “translate” diplomatically among the fractious sides in the recent Disney power struggle.
Eisner was the one who stuck to the “nothing controversial” tack throughout his era… passing on both Kevin Smith’s Dogma and Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 451.
Mitchell may be watching Eisner’s principal enemy, Roy Disney (along with his allies) hang themselves here.
And if Disney is weakened by this… well, there may be even more trouble ahead rather than less.
Its partner in the Narnia series (which it launched, like this so-called “history project” after the marketing success of Gibson’s Passion crapfest) is Walden Media, an ultra-rightwing fundie company formed to take over Hollywood — first through financiing, then through producing, eventually through marketing/distribution and licensing.
A weakened Disney board could breakdown the door for either a hostile or a friendly takeover by Walden.
chris @ 25
Sweeps are usually Nov. Feb. and May, I think for the whole month. Often you see special programming in place of shows that normally don’t do well.
Um, I pulled in the Scholastic handouts as HTML, that being the only thing Google had left of them, and they are actually reasonable. THe only bias I saw was the standard pro-US/Israel bias. There wasn’t any pro-GOP or other detectable (to me) leaning. It was a pleasant surprise.
I’d be delighted to boycott Disney but i have no kids and therefore few connections to Disney/ABC to my knowlege. Only a few of the 185 channels on my Direct TV setup are from them and they are part of the package deal. I can’t just cancel those few. Any ideas what other places they can be boycotted? Maybe giving money to the alternatives is my best solution?
Who is shamefully (not mysteriously) MIA is Lee Hamilton… who has emerged as the 9/11 Commissioner Most Likely To Play Bartelby: he “prefers not to” make any comment or be involved in this.
Remember how effective Hamilton once was — particularly when teamed with Mitchell?
Well, I do. What matters is that Lee doesn’t.
Or if he does… he, um, prefers not to.
Hit ‘em where it hurts. Give Disney one year of costly customer opinion:
“BOYCOT DISNEY TILL NINE ELEVEN, OH SEVEN”

Thanks Jennifer for another fine post.
Yes we need to step up the pressure. I just checked my local ABC website programming schedule. Path to Propaganda still there of course. It’s one of the few local ABC sites that has no Contact Us or phone number listed, just a snail mail address! I had to get that info from another website.
As a practical concern, many of us have several email addresses, but if you’re like me I normally only use two main ones. Are we remembering to use every email address we have registered for our personal use? I’m hauling out the 6 addresses I rarely use to continue to flood anyone I can over our newest National Disgrace. I think my new subject line will be: “Have you lawyered up yet?”.
I am completely on board Jennifer!
I posted this link earlier this week and in view of the call cited above for a new investigation into 9/11, I will do so again:

If you mean you hope Depp doesn’t make #3, it’s too late. Two and three were shot at the same time to make sure they could get the entire cast.

So some conservatives are against this movie? Does anyone have a link to support this? What about using their words in a concerned manner to support our positions in large numbers of emails to other consevative outlets?

I don’t think this has alot of impact unless people w/ Neilsen boxes do it. I urge people to boycott, not only ABC and Disney, but Apple as well. I know liberals love their Macs but this is WAR, and Steve Jobs has chosen what side he’s on. I plan on boycotting any movie w/ Harvey Keitel for the duration and well as Amy Madigan. The other actors are of such low level that it doesn’t matter.

You can call your DirecTV provider and ask them how to block the ABC, ABC Family, ESPN and Disney Family channels. There are ways to block selective channels using your remote’s parental controls. Asking for help on this from your satellite provider engages a customer service person, causing productivity drops in the cubicle farm where questions are answered.
Talk slowly. If there are enough calls like yours, your provider will notice the backup. ABC might get blamed.
If you have DISH satellite, you can block all Disney owned stations with your remote. THEN, write your ABC affiliates and satellite/cable company to note it on their little clipboard (stats) - you’re not going to take it anymore. By the way, dump DirectTV and go for Dish if you’re a satellite subscriber (Its owned by Rupert Murdock).
Of course the answer of what to do is obvious. Boycott ABC/Disney FOREVER. This will: establish that a significant economic loss will result from lying smears aimed at progressives. Only if it is BIG and PERMANENT will it work. I’m going to do it, regardless of whether or not a boycott materializes…on principle alone…
i have already conficated all disney products from my little ones —– while they slept. i am not dumb.

It seems like the neocons have far too much confidence about this situation. They have been working on this since 2002 (the concept of blaming Clinton for 9/11). Perhaps they have their heads in the clouds or up their butts. Bushboy and Co. are so brazen that they believe this will work their way. How far will these stunted humans go? Every other day I think the tide is turning back towards sanity. Then something else happens and I am stunned once again.

I think MediaChannel folks are still organizing the details for the free viewing of “9/11 Press for the Truth,” on their site, but Dave Olson tells me that it will be available to go head to head with “Path to 9/11.” And, sounds like, Bush himself, now, with the press conference planned. I wonder if he’ll actually say the words: “And now I hope you’ll continue viewing this fine presentation of the 9/11 Commission Report on ABC tonight.” Ick. Anyway, just check over at Mediachannel later today. I’m sure they’ll have details available soon.

The problem is we’ve got a crucial election for Democrats in 60 days and a defamation trial is a long way down the road. People are gullible and they’re going to buy into the “based on the 9/11 report” billing.
In addition to everything Jennifer proposes we do, I think we need Richard Clark on The View, Big Dog on Oprah, the two FBI agents who refused to participate when they saw the ludicrous script on CNN, Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. on MSNBC and so on.
Not only do they need to set the record straight, every appearance, every interview, has to end with the question, Why would Disney/ABC present something as true when we told them beforehand they got it wrong?

This is the plot synopsis that I just pulled off the ABC site a few minutes ago. It seems little has changed.

Perhaps we Californians should boycott Albertson’s, whose spokesbot is that awful Heaton woman from Everybody But Me Loves Raymond. In PT911, Heaton plays the evil US ambassador to Yemen who blocks O’Neil’s investigation into the USS Cole attack, and over-acts it terribly, reviewers have written.
If ABC airs this w/o editing false depictions, then those very false depictions will be run endlessly over and over - next to the documented proven truth. Those who have enjoyed anonymity in the shadows while being a part of a conspiracy of deceit will be “outed” and have to stand in the light of day. The greatest national tragedy of our history is about to be replaced with a greater tragedy - - the devaluation of the victims in favor of the need to create distraction for a negligent president and an administration that has never had the best interest of the whole country as their concern.
If this is aired w/o editing the lies out of it, then afterward over and over, the public will be shown the mendacity of the producers of the film, and the network that ran it w/o commercial interruption, and their twisted connections to those in this administration. The very administration that was at the wheel in this “accident”. Only these guys put a stop to the sobriety test that should have immediately been performed.
Yes, the conservaloony base will embrace the airing of this “labor of love” by all involved. No shock there. This is their sick brand of porno and no doubt there will be quite a lot of conserva-masturbation going on, on Monday night. Probably literally.
But the abject lies will be demonstrated to have been lies. Over and over. The liars will have their noses rubbed in their squalid little production for as long as the legal system allows those defamed to pursue the issue. Politically, this has all the signs of serious blowback from people who live in reality. And sadly for Bush, Cheney, Rove and all who want to ride on their filthy coat-tails, people who live in reality is ..most of us.

What TSF said and after the call block the channels anyway. I am sure that info is registered in hq every night. Like lotus (i think) mentioned thumbs down on everything ABC/Disney will help as well.

Those of us in the Philadelphia metro area have Heathen speaking for Acme, a local supermarket chain. I’d be happy to boycott them in support Teddy.
Oh, Steve Gilliard keeps hocking The Path To Football… Giants vs. Colts, Manning a Manning.
There’s one wee problem with that. It airs on Disney’s own ESPN.
I’ll be listening to the game on local radio and reading.
Boycotts are fine, I suppose, but they have to be kept up for quite a while to have an effect.
Any folks in Anaheim, CA and Orlando who could stand on the sidewalk opposite the Disneyland and Disney World parking lots with biiiig signs saying, “Mickey’s Lying to You” and “The Path to 9/11 is Crooked” would find plenty of media attention. :)
OT - As part of a misleading smear attack on Lamont, Lieberman’s staff discloses constituent correspondence with Senator Lieberman to the public, in direct violation of Lieberman’s stated privacy policy with regard to constituent correspondence. Here’s the link:

These are the two points most often cited by critics as false or misleading: the attempted bin Laden assassination that never happened and the idea that the perpetrators of the Cole attack had been identified during the Clinton Administration (when this occurred under Bush).
In addition to everything Jennifer proposes we do, I think we need Richard Clark on The View, Big Dog on Oprah, the two FBI agents who refused to participate when they saw the ludicrous script on CNN, Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. on MSNBC and so on.
Wait a minute.
The View and Oprah are both on ABc, right?

Here you go, Eureka.

Concact you senators and representative and let the know that the mouse’s copyright should not be extended. Strip Disney of the exclusive rights to the mouse and other characters that should have long ago been in the public domain will really hurt them in ways none of us can imagine.

I got three Steve Job emails from a diary on Daily Kos:

Jennifer — You might want to correct the spelling of “inaccurate” in line 3 of your post. Just sayin’.
For American Airlines, write up a nice letter telling them how you just saw Path to 911, and you will never fly on their airline again. Sound all outraged.
Let’s see how long it takes them to sue Disney hehe.
Bustedknuckles-
This REALLY bothers me. Sounds like the fix is in. I’ve been wondering all week what Disney and ABC know that we don’t.
I only checked the wapo’s Friday chat late last nite and they did publish my question and seems as though the wapo has been slimed too by this film, check it out:

Perhaps Democrats should give up appearing on This Week, World News Tonight, Nightline, and anything else ABC. Maybe give up appearing on ABC affiliates.
More on Richard Mellon Scaife.
P.S. Don’t forget to put heat on the advertisers, Disney can not ignore them.

Kurt:
I can’t watch this film BUT I will trust my fellow firepups who do to let me know where my outrage should be directed.
Here’s folks at Disney Studios yesterday evening, protesting as the suits left the employee parking lot for the weekend:

TeddySanFran,
She’s also a Scientologist!!! (if you’re looking for another reason to boycott…)
