Stop worrying. Nobody’s going to watch this turkey. The only people left in America who still view 9/11 through a rosy gaze of sentimentality are all in the 30% or so who still think Bush is a Christian. We’re not going to reach them anyway, and nobody else will watch the damned thing.

This is because there are three big football games on when ABC is running the faux-cumentary. The overwhelming majority of people who will watch TV next Sun and Mon nights will be watching football rather than this piece of crap.

Six hours? Americans can’t sit still for six minutes. Besides, it’s written by wingers, so you know it will be awful, turgid and trite. Anyone who does start watching and who still might be persuaded that Bush is not a bloody idiot will fall asleep or change the channel long before it blames Clinton or shows Bush as tough.

It’s about time the liberal media presented the other side, fact or fiction. I see it’s not being played on Fox.

In fact, maybe the liberal media will apologize to the President, Vice President, Rove and Libby for hanging them before they were tried. This would be a novel idea. Now that the facts are out about the left’s almighty Mr. Plame, is an apology due? Chances are slim that will happen.

I also believe, as you do Dan, that the 1994 Rep. held congress was not as supportive of the Clinton agenda as they should have been, but let’s be honest, when you look at how he believed in the “long bomb” over “boots on the ground”, wouldn’t you think, maybe for one little second, that he was looking at the polls? Remember Viet Nam…I certainly do.

As far as going to war goes, the funniest part about this fundamental executive authority that Congress gave the President, is that it WAS OVERWHELMINGLY SUPPORTED BY CONGRESS AT THE TIME..and now that the war is unpopular and the left sees blood in the water to take back power, they’re licking their lips. The only ones that didn’t support the President were idiots like Cynthia Macidiot who thinks GW bombed the WTC himself.

Thus far, I can recall 95% of my friends on the left all supported this war from the onset,( except the ones that think they can negotiate with a terrorist) and now the majority of them say Bush lied…again, what a load.

The fact remains that no mater how intellectually superior some on the left might think they are, they are limp-spined, power hungry phonies that never, and I mean never, vote their heart, only their party.

When I read such venomous bloogs about how Bush lied, kids died and how the White House tried to destroy Mr. Plame, or that Bush new about 911 before it happened, or that Dick Cheney signed the Haliburton contracts himself, it makes our side want to go on the attack. Huh, that’s funny, both sides do the same thing…another novel idea….attack the other side for lies…with lies. Just look at how the left acts in a frenzy when the Bush administration does something that might lower their approval rating. You jump all over it just like the Republicans did during the Clinton era.

I guess my point still stands that if we really wanted to unite against the terrorists, who by the way, didn’t wake up yesterday and decide to become terrorists. These people were born and then educated as terrorists for the past twenty-five years or so to become terrorists so they could get $25K for their families when they “sploded” themselves and killed westerners. Yes, there are exceptions, such as the ex-Iraqi regime that wants power back…yes we know this, so give it a break.

My question to any liberal is just this. “Do you honestly, and I mean honestly, not just a thought off the top of your head, believe that the war on terrorism has created more terrorists, or have we finally opened our eyes to see that they’ve been there all the time?”

When you say things like “The Republicans did not support Clinton’s 1996 Omnibus Legislation to prevent terrorism.” You shoot holes in your argument through generalities and you look bias and foolish because we all know, from an intellectual standpoint that it wasn’t “completely” true.

Conversly and once again, the democrats in Congress overwhelmingly supported the President on going into Iraq.

If history proves that GW was right, do you think he should get an apology? Or will the left clam up in order to save face?

I know these are tough questions for those that purely think politically, but I would want to believe that discourse can be fun and not always hateful. Although that is fun sometimes too.

The Republicans did not support Clinton’s 1996 Omnibus Legislation to prevent terrorism. They did not support any of the initiatives to attack the terrorists, because they did not want to stand with the president while they believed that their attack campaign might win in domestic politics. Playing the “Monica Card” was more important to them than protecting this nation. If you want to expose the true villians, they are not hard to find and the evidence does not have to be fabricated.

Prior to 9/11, the real traitors were the Republicans in congress.

After 9/11, the real war launched by Bush was a scheme to rob America. If there had been a real war on terrorism we would have had 150,000 troops in Afghanistan to surround, contain and capture the enemy, as NATO and the American War College recommended. Instead we had 150,000 troops where the enemy wasn’t, but we sure made a haven for them. By failing to get them while we could, we made Iraq and Pakistan into safe havens.

Now, let’s get to the facts again. All administrations have failed, even our current administration to an extent, however, the 1993 WTC attack happened on Slick Willy’s watch and no, he didn’t stop that attack, now did he? (How can a terrorist that is blind attack us? It still baffels me.) The USS Cole was attacked and he didn’t stop it either..did he? Oh, and what about those Taliban types that were plotting and planning along with Bin Hiding for years and Clinton and Sandy Burglar new all about them and guess what, they admittedly did nothing about them, except allow them to multiply and terrorize women and children. So all you Clinton lovers need to look closely at your #1 rock star before you throw the proverbial stone, because not only did Bush inherit this problem along with a recession, he had less than six months to come up to speed, and guess what, do you honestly think that his predecessor was forthcoming with this information, especially after the 2000 election fiasco…I think not. If you believe that they were forthcoming, you’re dumber than I thought.

The fact is, have we had an attack on our soil since 911? The answer is no, but many attempts have been foiled…haven’t they? 911 was a rude awakening for all of us and unless we let our President continue to provide cutting edge protection for our homeland, we’ll be attacked again.

My point is that if you want to place blame, place it on the terrorists, not our Presidents!!! Although some deserve more than others.

We were attacked on 911 and there is nothing we can do to reverse this tragedy except one thing. Nuke em till they glow then shoot em in the dark!! That’s a joke, but I’m also serious.
