I’m probably EPU’d, but I wanted to say that I’m hoping Peanut’s feeling much better. Sometimes the best medicine is a blankie, a good book, and Mommy.

Christy, my son had numerous ear infections that miraculously went away after we had tubes inserted in his ears. The other thing that eliminating the ear infections did was it made it easier for him to hear and assisted him in development of his language skills. I am so glad that we did it. He is now starting his sophomore year in college and doing well academically and athletically.

Anyway, it’s something to consider.

Hi,
This is about peanut and ear infection. Please,
ask the pediatrician if peanut could be allergic to milk. I have a daughter that had
surgery set up to put tubes in the ears when
she was 8 mos.old. Upon suggestion of my gen.
practician I suspended milk, she got better,
never needed surgery and grew up on soy milk,
rice milk and natural juices. Now in her 20’s
she outgrew the allergy. Hope things are this
simple with peanut. Good luck, Cris

ppp, I’m sorry for your loss. Don’t shortcut the grief process - your friend deserves the whole path and so do you. Namaste.

Christy, if you can stand one more suggestion about Peanut ears: Get thee to a health food store and find garlic and mullein oil drops. Apply warmed to affected ear. Thank goddess my boy only had two in his life - heating pad and this ped.-recommended oil took care of them. The bitch about antibiotics is that the more you take, the less effective they become.

In the good news can be bad news department, the Dem controlled legislature in CA has proposed some rugged environmental action re: global warming and Ahnie’s reaping the benefits by agreeing with them. He is also backing raising the min wage and allowing the state to beg for discounts on prescription drugs. Not his proposals, mind you, but his publicity nonetheless. Phooey.

blockquote>

link to Wa Po op-ed. It’s all Wilson’s fault.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/.....01460.html

It’s amazing how the mighty Wulitzer works - Newsweek, now WaPo, of course Fox et al

Then the big offensive by BushCo to reposition the war in Iraq and its longed for war in Iran as a fight against Hitler and the Nazis while branding critics as misguided traitors.

Talk about fascism - it still amazes me how the MSM falls into lockstep (goose step?) - who needs an ad agency or PR firm when you’ve got Newsweek and WaPo “validating” your lies

I’m so sorry. Losing someone close not only hurts emotionally - it hurts physically. And it certainly puts things in perspective.

You know, you’re right about it hurting physically. I hadn’t thought of it that way before.

Oh, and Christy–best wishes for the young one.
