Just for the record, I posted these lyrics because they came to mind when I saw the picture of the rutabaga.

The chorus of the song is:

I was merely trying to tickle the funnybone of FZ fans; it was not meant to be a put-down of John Kerry, who I greatly admire.

So…why don’t you find out for yourself what Creative Response Concepts has to do with why Kerry’s rebuttal to the SBLiars was ‘ineffective’. And you’ll also realize that these people will and can take anyone down unless we stop this bull crap of attacking our own side. Because they are the link between the swifties and the media’s smear attack against kerry. They’re well funded and they use to keep themselves hidden. Now, they’ve decided to brag.

BUT…when you review their site you might realize that Kerry was back-stabbed by people within the media and even his own party members who decided to hang Kerry out to dry so that it wouldn’t ruin their 08 run.

No, I don’t blame Kerry for much of what went wrong in the campaign. The democratic party had not one attack dog out fighting for Kerry, while Georgie had 1000 surrogates all over the airways 24/7, tearing Kerry to shreds. I blame the democratic party for letting a good candidate down.

Yes. A GOOD CANDIDATE, and an inspiring speaker with a message of hope.

Please…You have no idea what happens in a presidential campaign. You have no idea the extent of the media corruption and the pr campaign against this guy. I know that for a fact because the very link I posted on this site giving this information was deleted by your moderators (3x).

Kerry was fighting a bigger entity than anyone realized. You too would know this if your mods would actually leave links to other sites that give out information.

Perhaps JK listened to Mary Beth too much. I don’t know. But a basic defense of ones self isn’t a bad political reflex to have.
I love the guy. I really do. I just think perhaps he’s been in the Senate too long to be an effective campaigner for President.

Kerry is not a vegetable, and Goldberg, despite the assertion in the blog item, would not be any good as levee fill. One theory for why the levees failed in NO is that the soils used to build them contained too much “peat”. This is the technical term for chunks of organic material large enough to compromise the structural integrity of the levee as it slowly rots and leaves holes where the chunks used to be. The largest chunks of concern discussed in the context of the NO levees have been tree stumps. Now, we don’t have Giant Redwoods in Louisiana, and I can testify that our largest stumps would not constitute so large a future structural defect as the carcass of Jonah Goldberg would displace. NO has suffered enough! Please don’t wish unsuitable levee fill on us, however much such a use for Goldberg might benefit the rest of the nation.

how’s the compost supply? – Goldberg may be a useful source of nitrogen/phosphorus for large piles requiring adjustments….

At yKos, I had a chance to talk with some MA Dems, some who are regulars on this Lake. They really really love the guy, and we know why.

Appreciate the acknowledgement, but I’m not sure you do know why. My admiration for Kerry started in 1971 but it’s only increased in the years since then. He’s a serious, thoughtful man who has real heart. His youthful enthusiasm and focus were often confused with aloofness, but people who know him understand that he is among the warmest and most personable politicians on the planet. I could tell story after story about the things he has done for people who have crossed his path – people who are neither famous nor rich nor powerful.

Kerry took on corrupt politicians from both parties when he investigated BCCI and Iran/Contra. He stood basically alone on BCCI, and under great pressure to abandon his investigation. He still has never received the respect and credit he desrved for his courage.

I understand how much fun it is to indulge in heavy snark, but calling Kerry a vegeatable is just stupid and mean. And frankly since Kerry is still out there fighting the good fight every day for what is presumably “our side”, it pisses me off to see him trashed. If you don’t want to see him run for president again, fine. That’s your opinion, and you have a right to it. But you don’t speak for me, and you don’t speak for a whole lot of other people who know get who he really is.

From now on, I am backing screamers only.

Why not back someone who has already won a presidential election? Someone who fought election fraud all the way to the Supreme Court? Someone who has called for the repeal fo the Patriot Act? Someone who spoke out against the Iraq war back when it was just a bad idea? Someone who recognizes the “supreme moral crisis of our time?
