I am probably being an’ uber don’t get it’, but Did you put the “Promises” link up because you are serious about going there? I might have gotten the snarkoholic thing if you hadn’t linked a real rehab place. I first heard of Promises when my neighbor went there last month for her $60,000 spa and addiction attempted fix. I really do feel for her and her debilitating addiction. However, after being home 3 days her clueless husband takes here to a Winery celebration in Napa. Then she gets really smashed a week after returning home. What do they help you with there? For $60,000 for a month’s stay, I would demand to be on my way to being cured, set up with a support system near my home and have my husband and children counseled as to what might be necessary upon my return home. . As far as I can tell none of this is in place or definitely not working. I think it is a crime to be such an expensive exclusive rehab place and turn someone loose to get drunk after only a few days. What is up with this rehab program?. Seems to be the rehab dejour for the rich. So sorry it did not help her.

Looks like I’m in for something, but no biggie — maybe some power out for awhile, good tall drink o’ water, a li’l sky-opera — but nothing like, say, Charley two years ago. I expect to be dainty picking my way around any live wires, to look sharp for snakes an’ that, to fire up the grill (and/or the fondue pot) for a breakfast or two — but other than that, not much. So don’t be worrying about me (please tell the rest of our breakfast/nightcap cronies at Cafe FDL I said so, if they ask).
