I must say, that is a great picture of Hillary. And Ned also.

??? That is a lousy picture of Ned. It needs to be adjusted, way too dark.

But great news. I think very good things will follow from this meeting.

He looks confident, serene and calm-I Like it!

But Hillary still hasn’t called for:
- troop withdrawal in either Iraq or Afghanistan
- she sided with Usrael on bombing Lebanon to pander to the Jewish community and AIPAC even though it was clearly illegal
- she sided with the GOP on flag-burning
- it looks like th GOP has found a way around foreign ownership for ports now (if I read correctly today)
- there’s more instances where she needs to get with the program and not go along to get along so that she’s indistinguishable from the GOP and positioning herself for 08.

This move looks a little too convenient. And she should keep being reminded by people where her positions are wrong.

The truth about Hillary is that she wouldn’t even register a blip on people’s radar without her last name.

The only reason people are considering her as the candidate for 08 is they want Bill back in the White House.

Oh Cmon! She has been doing a great job!
She is changing her views about the war
and for the most part has been honest about
her unpopular stand .This looks like
a good move for her and Ned

The question is whether she would have changed her views without LeiberBush getting beat in the primary.

Real leadership requires critical thinking to come to conclusions, not reading the news or polls. And certainly not spending off-hours with the Bushes at Kennebunkport.

You don’t punish people who begin to see your point of view!

Cast: “George”: George W. Bush; “Camus”: Albert Camus

Camus – I hear that you’ve read my book “L’Etranger.”
George – No, I read your book “The Stranger.”
Camus – “L’Etranger” is French for “The Stranger.”
George – You’re French? I wish’d I’d know’d that. How’bout we get some Freedom Fries? Can I call you Froggy? Heh, Heh, Heh. I’m a gen-yoo-ine cowboy from Texas. ‘Mercun. I’m not French, just so you know. Don’t want you getting any ideas.
Camus – Did you like the book?
George – What book. Whoo boy, she’s got a set on her. Did you see’um? Hey, heh, heh, heh, did you hear that one? No? Silent but deadly!
Camus – “The Stranger.”
George – Oh, THAT book. I don’t remember much about it, cause, you know, I read SOOOO many books. People don’t understand that underneath this Cowboy exterior I’m a real in-tell-lectual. But that don’t play in ‘Mercan politics, so I keep it quiet.
Camus – So you didn’t like the book.
George – I thought it was absurd. Between you and me, Karl told me to tell you that “I thought it was absurd.” Said you’d get a big laugh out of that.
Camus – He’s right. But did you like the book.
George – Between you and me, since I’m all for capital punishment, I was happy the guy was executed at the end, cause only weak kneed lib’ruls would have commuted the sentence.
Camus – So that is what you took out of the book?
George – Was there more?

But what I actually think is that this says that Ned Lamont is the real deal.

Next, we need to focus on Jim Webb in Virginia.

Ennyhoo, that galloping case of the Punaisian flu nilly sent me to the horse-spittle — which, come to think of it, might be a good place to lie back and ponder Hillary’s move today. If some of you are right about her aiming to end up Majority Leader, that could be a positive development on several fronts.

I do hope Wolfson’s assignment is to serve as Ned’s bridge to now-restive Joe supporters (both pols and money), but like others here, I just can’t feature Ned or Tom Swan as anybody’s bamboozle-ees (certainly not HRC’s).

Nor do I have agita over Ned’s statement on Iran. It didn’t have to be this way — on 9/12/01, it certainly wasn’t this way — but by now the neo-cons have turned Iran into the biggest problem immediately facing us (well, except for the neo-cons themselves).

If this new Ned-Hillary collaboration helps put wiser, braver, more challenge-relishing and honest occupants into both chambers of Congress next term, maybe even disaster with Iran can be avoided. Even pre-November, should their collaboration’s message to DC help restrain some of the foolishness of the turkeys in power now, all to the good. It’s got to rattle Joe something fierce, in any case, and we all know how well he performs when he’s rattled. Heh.

So until I know better, I’m celebrating this news. Now whar’s that rake . . .

STAUNTON – A man who identified himself as a law student confronted U.S. Sen. George Allen here today, demanding to know if the potential presidential candidate had ever used the n-word.

Mike Stark, in his early to mid-20s, also asked Allen, R-Va., why he had a Confederate flag and a noose in his office. The News Virginian confirmed that Stark is a first-year law student at the University of Virginia.

An Allen aide asked Stark to leave, while a staff person at the Holiday Inn in Staunton also told him to leave the premises.
