[…] If there was ever a possibility of the minx voting for Hillary Clinton in 2008, that possibility has completely disappeared after getting a look at this photo of Senator Clinton meeting with Ned Lamont in her New York living room. Get a load of the flowery chintz! I figured the Clintons to be more of transitional couple. Who knew they would go for southern garden party chic? Their Arkansas is showing.

Oooo, I LOVE that red lamp! Where can I get on like it in pale blue?

Pottery Barn, perhaps?

Of course! You don’t suppose HRC would allow a picture to be taken without vetting the accessories first (and hiding the silver)

Wanna bet that modest little corner is specifically designed for photo ops & has nuttin’– but nuttin’– to do with the scale or splendor of the rest of the house Or, put it this way, think that little nook is where she receives Rupert Murdoch ?

EPU’d but no matter……….

Those of you interested in Danforth: He went to Sudan as a “fact finder” to determine if the Senate should drop sanctions (2001, i think.) . An embassy gofer was designated to find him 2 bottles of Scotch. Not an easy thing to accomplish in Khartoum, but the gofer was resourceful and managed to promptly get what the good senator needed. the gofer told me he was amazed at how quickly the two bottles were consumed. Innuendo perhaps, but drinking, copiously, serious liquor in a country like Sudan was an indication to this guy that Danforth’s craving was way past normal.

Lotus @45: Thanks for providing that Chef Paul Link. I never knew his recipes were online. Under seafood, I have cooked the Fish With Pecan Butter Sauce and Meunire Sauce about 10 times. It is excellent! I mean it. I always use Yellowtail. Very impressive dish for company but FYI, it takes several hours to cook. That page in my book actually has food stains all over it. Again, thanks for the link!

In the event of rapid thread depressurization, oxen will be run through the blog. Take the ox that is nearest to you and pull it toward you, fastening it securely to your face using the elastic bands. If you are seated next to a child or another person who needs assistance, place your own oxen mask over your nose and mouth and then assist the other passenger.

We hope you enjoy your blog experience. And thanks for choosing Firedoglake!

my oxen don’t work, what do I do …

K, next you’ll tell me it’s all about my ego, and you might even be right, cause I’m drunk.

No, my point is, nice to see new features @ FDL, but pls add some guidelines for commenters too. So that not some other unlucky guy gets the full treatment for a questionable remark that noone would have noticed at another blog. Ok?

What, Dan? You don’t understand where I am going with this. Well, let me be clear. Democratic donors are not going to want to cross Hillary and her political compadres, nor are consultants or other party bigwigs. So whatever hoover-in-the-dough plan you had for them, you’d better re-tool. And GOP-controlled KStreet? They’ve begun to see some handwriting on the wall that all is not well in GOP-ville for the Fall elections, they are off the kool-aid, and they have begun to hedge their bets…and their Republican-funded donations to your PAC-friendly coffers are about to get a lot smaller.

That fast? Color me naive, but perhaps after six years of this sort of entrenchment, I can’t believe change could come so quickly as the result of a single meeting. Brings a smile to my face.
