How republican rule has hurt me, let me count the ways:

1)	Republican rule has threatened the existence of my country, the United States, as a free democratic republic by undermining the Constitution and the rule of law, ignoring the fundamental founding principle of separation of powers, abdicating their responsibilities to provide oversight of the executive branch, and packing the Supreme Court with right-wing activist judges that support the republican agenda to undermine the Constitution.
2)	Republican rule has ruined my nation’s honor, its military, and its economy by pursuing an unnecessary, illegal invasion of Iraq.
3)	Republican rule has bred contempt and disgust by killing and maiming tens of thousands of Americans and Iraqis in their illegal unnecessary war in Iraq.
4)	Republican rule has ignored real security issues at our ports, along our borders, in our transportation systems, in our water supplies, and at our hazardous material facilities by creating with lies a false security threat in Iraq and wasting all our strength their.
5)	Republican rule has threatened my children’s future by bankrupting the Federal government and making the US beholden to foreign powers in order to heap enormous tax benefits upon the hugely rich, well-to-do, and advantaged.
6)	Republican rule has threatened the environment, and in-turn mine and my family’s health and well being by undermining regulations and providing corporate give-aways of my national treasures.
7)	Republican rule has tried to undermine my retirement security by destroying social security.
8)	Republican rule has ignored the scientifically proven, very real threat of global warming.
9)	Republican rule has threatened the future of the United States by blocking common sense, available measures to make our life-style less dependent on oil.
10)	Republican rule has made me unsafe by filling important government positions such as at FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security with incompetent cronies who’s only qualification is that they are republican campaign contributors.
11)	Republican rule has incessantly tried to invade my privacy by having the government dictate who I can love, when I can die, what is acceptable as faith, and limit my control over my own body.
12)	Republican rule has violated the very meaning of truth and honesty.

Republican rule has done untold damage and destruction done to my nation, and my personal well being.

Sorry to be a downer but if the repugs control the voting machines, and as of today I believe they do, then none of this vital political discussion means a damn thing.

There’s always the Cartoon Network.

Jeez — CNN’s Paula Zahn just said up next, “the debate over the abortion pill.” Anyone else hear that? It’s 9:45 back east.

You say back east. I thought you lived in MA or are you on vacation?

Reb Jean Schmidt has a new definition of “cut and run.” She’s apparently doctored a photo to show her as a top finalist in a marathon.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/200.....thon_photo

this link may not work for those of you who aren’t yahoos. Let me know.

LOL, she a vampire?:

Noy said he believes the photo may be fake and suggested that Schmidt never even participated in the event. In the photo, Schmidt doesn’t cast a shadow while other runners do.

I saved the photo and an image of the site for posterity.

OC, HopeSAT got in, in the wee hours yestiddy, after a 26-hr flight. Not a peep outta her since. Doc due to follow tonight, I think. According to a brief email I got yestiddy AM, they’ve got much to show and tell … once they can remember their names again.

I think you are expected to loot at that point.

it’s located near pebble beach, and if you aint a caddy, you ain’t welcome

BarbaraB
Why Davis over Smith?

I agree with you–Crist is creepy.

Coupla things. Smith is a DINO. When he ran for the state legislature it was damned clear he was in some Republican/BigBiz thrall, and add to that his unsanitary relationship with Big Sugar. Smith also thought it was just fine to give the phone companies free rein to segment and soak their customers in the name of “competition.” I am not in love with Davis, though my hero Graham’s endorsement goes a long way, but I do not like Smith a-tall. Here’s a cartoon that kinda sez it on the general state of the state (and don’t start me on JEB Bush–I work for the state): http://www.miami.com/mld/miami.....407010.htm
