Hey guys…

I’ve been out of the loop for a few days. What about those committee assignments and seniority? No news, right? Are we going to pressure Reid to do something?

Is there/has there been an ACTION CAMPAIGN? This thing just makes me so mad that I can’t even stand it. I’m in CO and that stupid Ken Salazar won’t back down.

Please give me some hints about what to say when I call him again! I’ve called 3 times.

Thanks for this post…I needed it desperately! I, too, became disheartened by the poll, then read your post, along with Chris Bowers’, and am dancing again. Sorry that I’m so easily distracted, but I simply do NOT trust the Rethugs to lose in November…they are TOO DESPERATE, and that scares me. Anyway, thanks!!!

I did a quick review of “Steve Duncans” previous comments here — they all say “We’re doomed!”, “All is lost”, “They’re all-powerful!”

He talks like a professional pessimist …

We’re not all doomed, and Lamont is destined to win.

Why? Because the poll doesn’t take one very important thing into account. Previous polls had Republicans choosing Schlessinger as their boy. Republicans understand that he has no chance to win. And they also understand that Joe is walking in lockstep with Cheney. All but 4% of CT Repubs switched over to Lieberman accordingly. What does this mean? It means that Lieberman still dropped in the polls even after picking up most of the R vote. It means that he is hemmhoraging Dem and Indy support.

Don’t get me wrong, we still have a fight on our hands. But even if there is no bait and switch in the future, Lamont is still looking great, here in the middle of August vacation season.

Keep celebrating! Just keep fighting in between toasts.
