At least Landrieu singlehandedly gave Anderson Cooper his job at CNN. (For those who missed the clip a year ago, she made him cry on television because she wouldn’t give him a straight answer about why the f*** politicians were congratulating each other as corpses lay at his feet.)

neurophius @
152

CJ 2:39 p.m.

Do you know what is meant by a Lieberman vote? Are they simply talking about endorsing Lamont, or will they call on all Democratic officeholders to support Lamont and not Lieberman? I would like more information so I can try to contact my state’s DNC members.

Sorry for the slow response, just quickly checking in on a late lunch break but my impression is a vote to come up with a position statement from the group.

Rayne 159, I passed the resolution link onto our committeeman to see if he wants to bring it along to Chicago.

I’ll tell you someone who needs a little pressure: a gentleman named Al Gore.

He needs to get in Lieberman’s shit, big-time, about all he’s done, and is doing, to help bushCo.

Al’s enjoying a resurgence of popularity; partly from his movie, but mostly, just from the fact that he was robbed of the presidency in 2000, which would have saved us, if not from 9-11, at least from goatboy’s using it for his mideast anschluss.

I don’t think these collaborator Democrats realize just how much they are damaging the Senate caucus for the long term.

If a person winning a Democratic nomination by Democratic voters in their state can’t be assured of the support of their potential colleagues, then there really is no reason to run as a Democrat, nor to be particularly loyal when they put their bills in play in the Senate.

It would be fun to see how the Turncoat 5 work with a Senator Lamont. All I know is the next time any of these folks come begging me for money in that giant pile of Junk Mail I get every year from Democrat Senators, I won’t be sending them anything (except perhaps a BRM full of lead weights back).

That’s too bad about Landrieu. Unfortunately, she’s in a very tough political situation, since Louisiana is a swing state, and a lot of Democrats were dislocated or made homeless by Bush’s neglicence in response to Katrina. She’s walking a fine line, but she kowtows too much to the right. She should take the position that the Bush administration has already screwed her state as much as it can, and the only way to stop the screwing is to throw the bastards and their supporters, chief among them Lieberman. Although he calls himself a Democrat, he’s just a toadie for the Bushies. One wonders what happened to his psyche in Florida in 2000. Bush made him his bitch, and he’s been down with it ever since.

helina handbasket @ 24

What might be taken as reticence to acknowledge Jilted Joe’s obvious repudiation in the primary by the majority of Senate Demos is more likely the same reaction that we see in DEERS CAUGHT IN HEADLIGHTS. In other words, they have no idea as to what is actually going on.

The phone calls and emails are the equivalent of HONKING THE HORN LOUDLY TO SAVE THEM FROM THEIR OWN DEMISE.

Keep honking the horn! If they don’t hear it, well, two words: Venison Stew….

Too funny! Too true! BEEP! BEEP! HELLLOOO?!

I so much enjoyed writing Schumer yesterday and the DSCC today, after getting their mass mailing on Iraq, to ask them about Mark Pryor’s staggering conflict of interest in being the vice chair of the DSCC and supporting Lieberman.

What a shock that no one has gotten back to me.

The DSCC can expect to see NOT ONE THIN DIME from me if they are going be run by people who actually undermine the organization’s stated purpose of electing Democratic senators.

What person in their right mind would knowingly contribute to the DSCC Country Club’s incumbency racket? Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer et. al. need to know that the public will both know and have zero tolerance for Lieberman supporters in their ranks.

What a crock.
