My whole life I have always felt whatever age I am is the perfect age. However this post-fifty shit is bringing serious existential mortality stuff up against my basic always sunny strong healthy if depressive life.

This stuff about the tiff twixt Georgie and Tony about the timing of the arrests of the would be airplane bomb suspects doesn’t surprise. Business as usual. Bush wields the whip and Blair gets the whippin’. The Bush crowd knows no low. And as for Blair, what a world class wuss. I can’t decide which of these two “world leaders” sickens more.

Yes, what you say is quite possible. Perhaps even probable. But I have to think Tony Blair should have stood up to George Bush on this difference over the timing of the arrests. When is this guy going to start leading his country and stop letting George Bush determine British foreign, and in this case, domestic policy? I’ve read that if the arrests had been delayed, that more people would have been arrested, quite possibly the ones giving the orders to the would be bombers. I don’t know, maybe the British did the right thing in letting our government call the shot on this one. But sooner or later someone MUST say no to George Bush.
