We’re hearing from the New York Times blog that the Lieberman camp hasn’t ruled out asking that the election results be invalidated as a result of the "attack" on their web site. This is making me think that the Lieberman camp may well have originated this attack from within in order to have ANOTHER excuse not to abide by the primary results. Do I hae any proof of that? Noooooooo! We don’t need no steenkin’ proof, and apparenlty neither does Dan Gerstein! Why bother? It’s so much more fun to hurl baseless accusations.
We just heard Gerstein on Colin McEnroe’s show wailing and gnashing his teeth about how the attack which started YESTERDAY MORNING has crippled their ability to campaign effectively, and that the campaign staff have been unable to send and receive internal emails. (Apparently there weren’t enough G-Mail invitations to go around and eighteen hours simply wasn’t enough time for them to scare up some more.)
Pathetic. Who are these people? They are clearly not to blame for the mistakes they’ve made in building their web site on the cheap without even minimal security arrangements or any kind of back-up plan. But you know, I think I like this policy of blaming Ned Lamont and those liberal bloggers for your own mistakes and incompetence. If I get pulled over for speeding on the way to the airport tomorrow, I will be sure to tell the police officer that the Lamont campaign sabotaged my alarm clock AND speedometer so I’m not to blame and insist on having this ticket invalidated.
Apparently, anything bad that happens to Joe Lieberman today is Ned’s fault. Bob Geiger (who’s sitting next to me here in the Blogger Room at the Sheraton) has the scoop in a piece called, "Lieberman’s Dog Gets Fleas –Joe Blames Lamont". Here’s a couple of excerpts:
7:00: Lieberman will slip going up the stairs to the stage at his final campaign rally. Spokesman Sean Smith will claim that Lieberman staffers saw someone wearing a Lamont t-shirt fleeing the scene with a jug of "Acme Axle Grease."
8:00: A prank call from someone claiming to be George W. Bush will come in to Lieberman’s cell phone and offer Joe the job of Secretary of Defense when he loses tonight.
"This is yet another cruel trick by Ned Lamont," Joe will say mournfully. "To try to fool me about the job I really want, is such a low blow."
Indeed. You left out a couple of things, though, Bob:
6:30pm: Lieberman’s pants split up the back as he bends down to pick up a constituent’s baby and insists that pro-Lamont fairies invaded his closet last night and weakened the seams.
7:40pm: Joe chips a tooth while eating a plate of fried clams. Staffers claim they saw a suspicious clam sneaking out the restaurant’s back entrance wearing a Lamont t-shirt and missing a section of its shell.
More details as they develop, gang! The Lieberman Pathetic Excuse-a-Thon juggernaut is churning onward…

WATB!
Ned Ned Ned!
No Joe.
Going to bed here in France. Please God let me wake up to Ned-mania!
If Lieberman loses the primary and runs as an independent, at least we’ll have a new nickname for him… “Fifteen Dollar a Month Joe”
I’m waiting for Joseph and his technicolor turncoat to say that the blame was really the one armed man. I hope Lamont nailed the nimrod buttkisser Lickerman in the polls! Just sick of the asswipe!
Constant lurker today. Go, go, go.
Thanks to all here for your passion and energy. I am optimistic, but well understand that we are in this for the long, long haul. This seems such a great step forward, whatever the results tonight.
Back to work and lurk.
Has anyone in the MSM reported the real story about the website outage? ANYWHERE?
http://www.dailykos.com/storyo…..53827/3493
See details on Kos on why this isn’t a hack. Lieberman pays $15/mo for hosting and their entire host (and all its other clients) went down because they exceeded bandwidth.
Roman culture held that if you tripped on your way out the door in the morning, then you should return home and stay there all day, because it was an ill omen. I think Senator Lieberman should heed this ancient practice, and instead of blaming everyone else for his pathetic campaign, he should save his money, stay home, and wait until the cloud of ill fortune passes by.
Should he blame Lamont for his embarrassing animated ad? Should he blame Lamont for failing to seriously campaign and even try to connect with his constituency until a mere week before the vote? Should Lamont be blamed for his neglect of Connecticut voters for nearly all of his last term in favor of sucking up to the moral war party?
He should blame Lamont for kicking his ass.
P.S. – Maybe he should have built up some credibility by standing with Gore on the Florida recount instead of shooting the effort in the foot on national television. It’s called karma, Joe.
NED LAMONT IS PREVENTING ME FROM FINISHING MY DISSERTATION!!
Ned Lamont, I call on you to repudiate my Methods chapter – and the Conclusion, that sucks too. Okay, there are a couple of data chapters that could use some work… um, and that’s all the fault of NED LAMONT and his computer savvy thug, blogofascist, Markos Moulitsas-programmed venomous rabid lambs!
WOW! That really does work. I feel much better now.
All FDL and no work makes twolf1 a poor boy
All FDL and no work makes twolf1 a poor boy
All FDL and no work makes twolf1 a poor boy
All FDL and no work makes twolf1 a poor boy
Ned! Rootz! Votez!
That said, I pay more a month for more bandwidth than that for my piddly little synthesizer-focused site, I wouldn’t even conceive of being that chintzy on a major statewide campaign.
They’re keeping it down to milk it for sympathy and give them a fallback excuse as to why they lost by such a big margin and are still running as an independant.
delurking from canada to wish all the firedogs the best of luck in today’s primary. from an outsider’s point of view, it would be very nice if american leadership began to develop a side that wasn’t lunatic. go ned. go volunteers. good luck america. you need a lot more neds. please.
Can’t this pathetic victim just suck it up and catch a cyber taxi to the nearest cyber hospital?
What a soreloserman!
Congrats to NEDDY! Give em ‘ L’ Lamont! Yoda MAN!
Dang my toobz are clogged today. Must be all that bandwidth the Lieberyouth are sucking up looking for directions out of Connecticut.
Looking forward to Shortride’s concession speech. For once his weary whiny voice will suit the occasion and be music to my ears.
Truism of the day:
Sean Smith IS Ken Mehlman
Ned Lamont is keeping me from cleaning my bathroom! This is an outrage! (Snark)
This flailing about of the Lieberman camp smells of such desparation, it’s making the hairs in my nose curl.
Zed’s dead, baby. Zed’s dead.
Go Ned!
TWolf1, All FDL and no work also makes an old sow a poor grrrl..lol…I did wallow in the garden a bit harvesting and transplanting, but everything I did today was in between refreshing comments and refreshing home page…
My cat just threw up a hairball. I blame Ned!
Also, this bit from DK says it all:
http://www.meetned.com/ 69.56.129.130
http://www.joe2006.com/ 69.56.129.130
MeetNed.com – Up.
Joe2006.com – Down.
If true, that’s no DOS attack. That’s either an incompetant web hosting company or an intential downing by the site owner.
Dana Bash on CNN had Daily Kos up on graphics – presented the theory that JoeCo F’d up.
Wolf is in Jerusalem, which is rather nice.
Lieberman is closer to the Bush camp than even I imagined. They will do anything adnHe will Do anything too. This is totally BS…. Shameless ratfuckers!!!! It ain’t gonna work this time!!
Lieberman is going to lose. And I’m certain he knows by now, he’s on the twilight trail. And we shall delight at being on the sunrise trail in the morn. Large struggles, loom ahead.
Pups, I smell VICTORY FOR NED!
Pups, I smell VICTORY FOR LAMONT!
I am surprised that Lieberman is using an accusation that can be checked to try to change the tide. I think it is a last-ditch effort to sway voters from now on into the night.
It certainly is a desperate gamble.
Oh, and if it wasn’t obvious before, the print and TV media are simply fucking scared piss-less by the blogs. The blogs are to print and TV what e-mail is to paper mail.
This last minute – and quite unseemly – flailing about of the Lieberman camp smells of such desperation, it’s making the hairs in my nose curl.
Zed’s dead, baby. Zed’s dead.
Go Ned!
It’s always a good day when one of ‘their owned’ is shown the door. Just don’t forget yer’ privates when it slams.
Old Sow – you need a wireless router and wifi enabled laptop so you can FDL from the garden!
OT, but pls check CT Bob’s site. He’s got some great reports from the battlefield and some even better photos of cute Jane:
CT Bob
Why do girls always look so god dang good when they are simply sitting at a table? Must be because of the special ‘construction’ of their hips. :)
Yeah, I know, I’m a horny old punk…
You can’t cast a vote on his website. You couldn’t look up your polling place on his website. How does a website being down on election day change anything?
one would think that after 18 years in the Senate, Lieberman would not need a website on Election Day to inform Connecticut voters about why to vote for him.
Pay no attention to The Wordy Bird @ 20; he can’t quite figure out this new-fangled edit function.
I checked a few of the sites that Kos listed here: http://www.dailykos.com/storyo…..53827/3493 and NONE of them are working.
It is our job to start writing and calling the MSM and telling them they’ve left something out and point them to Kos story or any other links with info that what they’re reporting is simply NOT true and irresponsible.
I have written to the reporters from the NY Times who wrote the story that’s currently on the front page of nytimes.com, msnbc and cnn.
PLEASE do the same!
Thanks.
I think HoJo is doing this to play the victim one more time – he’s shooting for the sympathy vote… and when all is checked out – well, that will be after tomorrow…
whoever said this is some sort of GOTV effort on Joe’s part, I believe it’s correct but pitiful…
I went to a triple-A baseball game with my son’s summer camp today. When the national anthem was played, all I could think of was Ned Lamont. GO NED!
Waiting for Joe to go down is preventing me from reviewing this report that is due. Damn you, Joe! I don’t get paid until this is finished. And I won’t be able to pay my electric bill, or my insurance bill, or my rent or for my cat’s food or gas for the truck or my insurance bill until—wait, I already said insurance…wait, my insurance bill…fuck, that is $300/month for $2500 deductible and 70/30 co-pay and…wait. Now why is it I have to pay such a horrendous health insurance premium? Damn you, Joe! And damn all the rest of you lazy-ass greedy-gut grubbers in D.C.!
I’m friends with a CT couple.
She’s Dem, he’s Repub.
When I called yesterday to urge them to vote Lamont she said he reregistered Independant so he could vote for Lieberman.
Deceptive, but is it illegal?
Man, everything’s so slow, I shudder to think how my dial-up at home is gonna be tonight when things really get cookin…
It’s always a good day when one of ‘their owned’ is shown the door. 18 yrs. and a good ‘whine’ is all LeiberLooser has to offer. SHAME ON SHAME ON HIM
Joe lost his mojo
About six years ago
Don’t underestimate the potential power of this smear. (Swiftboats anyone?) If the techie links above show that the website downing was clearly not an outside job, someone in the Lamont campaign should be out there relentlessly screaming bloody murder about Lieberman campaign lies. To again quote you, TRex – ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!
karen allen @ 29
I’m afraid to start celebrating too soon. Can somebody give me something concrete to hold on to?
I know turnout is high, but doesn’t that cut into the big pool of “low-information” voters.
Could Joe know things are bad for him? How?
I am dying for some news and am still gun shy from 2004.
Shuster on MSNBC-simply reported the back and forth accusations about the website. No mention of a cheap assed hosting service.
To the email, FDLers!
Now I’m really getting nervous. I keep thinking about Wonkette and 2004, and I’m grateful I haven’t seen any exit polls yet.
I’m gonna be up all night, I just know it.
Wait. Joe will lie down on the tracks to challenge the election results because of a BUSTED WEBSITE and he wouldn’t challenge the hanging chads of FL?
Something smells rotten in CT.
PA-LEEZE!!! How pathetic can you get… And um, Lieberkids, better get a little proof if you think you got a prayer for a re-do…
I just tried going to Lieberman’s hosting service myhostcamp.com to see what kind of quality outfit it is, but it seems to be down.
I just wish Ned Lamont would stop making FDL so hard to refresh and reload. Oh, and I wish he’d stop eating all the good food from my refrigerator and leaving the old leftovers for me.
“Say, didn’t you used to be Joe Leiberman?”
Twerp. I wouldn’t let that guy borrow my cell phone for fear it wouldn’t work when I got it back… much less my country.
voteslow2006.bom
dude, where’s my website?
hahahahaha!
FDL!
MYDD!
ROOOOOOOOTZ!
I just had the pivotal scene from O Brother Where Art Thou? pop into my head, when the people realize what a disgusting pig the challenger for governor is and lash him to a railroad tie and physically run him out of town.
Except in this case it’s the incumbent who’s revealed his true nature as beneath contempt.
I suppose it’s redundant, but Fox “News” is also reporting the “Lieberman site hacked!” story. Fox’s favorite Dem is in trouble, I think.
justintime, CT does not have an “open” primary – an Independent cannot vote for a Democrat (or a Republican) in a primary.
An Indy could register as Dem or GOP up until noon yesterday.
A registered Dem or GOP could change party affiliation, but not within 90 days of the primary.
percy @ 46
Exactly!!! That’s why we need to call and write!!
Please take a few minutes, everyone, and do so!
This is one of those instances where we NEED to stand up for ourselves and the horrible job the media does on actually REPORTING FACTS.
I have to go to work now, but I am having a real haard time tearing myself away from y’all here.
Good luck tonight, I will be keeping my fingers crossed.
I can’t see this as a GOTV. It’s too stupid for that purpose even for the schmucks WATB has running his show. The downing of a website is only an energizing GOTV if your core base *cares* about websites, and I assure you that this is not true of the Lieber-fans.
If it was done intentionally, or went down unintentionally and is being kept down by the campaign, I’d wager it’s got to be a show for the national pundits, not the local voters.
$15.00 a month? ????!!!! I’m poor, and I pay more than that for my internet service. that is f******g in-CRED-ible. And how tech-un-savvy are the reporters that they are buying this?
THIS SITE WAS JUST UNREACHABLE FOR 15 WHOLE SECONDS!!!!
I BLAME NED!
LAMONT, YOU BASTARD!!! STOP HACKING THER INTERNETS!!!1!!1
For Joe, with props to Aerosmith, in memory of The Kiss:
Kiss your past good-bye
You’ve gotta let it fly
Kiss your past good-bye, yeah
And if that bird don’t fly away
There’s just one thing I got to say
It’s later than a deuce a ticks
Your broken heart, it needs a fix
You’re feedin’ off a high that would not last
And people they don’t seem to care
And sorry just don’t cut it, yeah
It seems to me you’re gettin’ nowhere fast
So… Kiss… your… past
Or kiss your ass good-bye
Kiss your past good-bye
There’s no more tears to cry
So kiss your past good-bye
Kiss your past good-bye
Or kiss your ass good-bye
Yeah
Ned with Tweety now on MSNBC…Lamont is calm and cool…he’s gonna make a great Senator!
Good Luck CT!!!
ERROR!
There was a connection problem with the server. Please try again
I got this on FDL’s comments. I blame Ned.
Ned is spectacular @ Hardball!
Earlier today, Matthews referred to Ned as “…a very cool customer.”
I think this whole website gambit says it all about Lieberman: unintelligent, out of touch and automatically assuming it’s the other side’s fault. Someone upstream wondered if he’d not gotten some sort of promise for his 2000 cave-in. Before today, I wouldn’t have thought twice about it, but now…
More to the point, we’ve all got to prepare for the onslaught tomorrow (win or lose) of the Court Stenographers.
Tweety just said that Joe will run as an independent if he loses by any margin.
AAARRRGGGHHH. I can’t stop myself. I pushed the “power” button on my remote and I’m back watching MSNBC. Tweety just played an interview recorded earlier with Ned, and I thought Ned looked good and sounded very hopeful. He denied responsibility for the Web site crap and said he would cooperate with “anyone” who wants to investigate it.
What a Putz.
I wonder, if his aides are going to have to make him give a concession speech like the late unlamented NY Senator Alfonse D’Amato when he lost.
Okay
We need email addresses for NY Times, MSNBC and CNN pronto. We need to start sending emails and make them get this story right, pronto.
Whyowhyowhy did those foo’s wait until Election Day to show this much creativity and nimbleness?
1. They crash their own site through fa-laming ineptitude (okay, true to form there)
2. “Whaddawedo???” (yepper, still sounds like them … but THEN)
3. “I know! We got us a ISSUE!” (wha’?)
4. “Skulduggery over to Ned’s!” “Call them ’state and federal authorities’!” “Oh those skillery-skallery blogger-hackers! “I’m OUTRAGED, I tell you!” (wouldja lookit that, they’re hatching an Idea)
5. “Well! We certainly can’t have ‘em suppressing our voters!” (mumf mumf mumf)
6. “Connecticut
Notfor Lieberman — tuff, you’re just gonna hafta vote again until you get it right!” (oop, pushed it too far — game over after all, Joe)You know, watching Lieberman on TV today made me think how much he physically reminds me of Chimpy, maybe not so much in looks but in affect. And then I thought, “dogs really do take on the looks of their owners…..”
karen allen @

and he makes bad coffee too ;}
Shawn Smith Lierman campaign manager on Tweety now. Let’s see how long it takes him to blame Lamont for the web site thing.
The only human being I’ve ever seen blink more than Chimpy is Sean Smith.
I’ll be so GLAD to stop listening to Lieberman lies when this is over! Smith guy on Hardballs right now…
Thanks Anne,
Must’ve got it wrong.
So he would have had to register Dem to vote Lieberman.
If he did this and they cancel each other in Lamont/Lieberman, maybe she’ll have more leverage in the future.
Don’t feel too bad for Joe if he loses today. He can always enter tv with his own show. Perhaps something like Joe is Emo!
OT
Just got off the phone with Dr. Turtle. He says,
He is working 14-15 hour a days with one day off a week. He is staying in what he calls “a rat-trap”. He has four days off when I get there and I’m gonna take the best care of him that I can.
You know, watching Lieberman on TV today made me think how much he physically reminds me of Chimpy, maybe not so much in looks but in affect. And then I thought, “dogs really do take on the looks of their owners…..”
I resemble that remark.

What a joke. Joe’s done jack shit for health care and he voted for Cheney’s energy bill.

Lieber-goober Sean Smith – “we’ve got a robust get out and vote operation”
-apparently this included a state of the art $15 per month website!!!
He also warned voters not to be intimidated at the voting locations – wtf
Friends, this hack story is an example of how much better the toobz are at assembling, hive-like, information quickly. The traditional media still has their hands on the keys of largescale investigative (question and answer perso-to-person) reporting, but without the informational back-up, even that is a form that is easily corrupted. Perhaps Lieberman got hacked, but it is clear he cannot just claim to be hacked anymore.
The lesson for today, as it is so many days:
This place is a fucking reality nightmare for propogandist/illusionist wannabes.
So the Lieberman Victory Party should have started about 20 minutes ago (5 PM Eastern was when it was scheduled to start). We have anyone near the site where the party’s being held?
Hopefully someone with a camera will be there to check out what’s going on.

TRex, imho, best info on the reverse ratfuck is in Jane’e prior post, JCB’s, and on the last two threads. IMO, see comments from Zergle, Cujo but I’m sure there are other good one’s too.
Just saw Ned on Tweety and he was
fuckinggreat.Made the point that the US and Israel are both in greater danger, because we are occupying Iraq. That’s
fuckingsoundbyte genius, because of its accuracy and brevity.Ned is giving, short, tight, kick ass answers to all of Tweety’s questions. FWIW, I thought Tweety’s questions were very good.

Go see your dude, and peace to you both. FDL has your back Hope.
Lieberman should have ordered The Internets from The Video Professor.
Kos, in one of his updates, pointed out that
meetned.com
which has the same IP # and is on the same server as joe2006.com, is up and running. I just visited, it’s a slam Ned site sponsored by Friends of Joe.
So his Ned-Bashing site on the same server is up and running while joe2006.com has a message now that says “this account is under construction”.
The Lieberman campaign claims of hacking are complete crap.
Doing some Googling of the Dewey Square Group, which is, apparently, working for the Lieberman campaign. From Politizine in 2005:
They’ll work for anyone who can pay, and they’re on retainer with Fox News. What don’t I like about this picture?
Anyone else wonder what Sean Smith was talking about with the “denying people the right to vote” meme? Is THAT the sort of thing they’re morphing the DoS issue into?
Methinks those who missed the interview with Tweety made out better than those of us who did, at least bloodpressure-wise.
tejanarusa @ 61
That’s just the point. Many of these so-called journalists are not that unsavvy…they’re just following orders from the top, IMO.

The truth….what’s that again??? Nowadays the are so many “versions” of the truth that it has become so blurred by today’s politcs that it’s just a boldface lie. Why? It could be that whoever is telling the truth doesn’t want people to know that whatever their doing they really know jack squat about, or the fact that in order to accomplish the truth something wrong has to be done….
Even if you do expose the truth, you’ll get dogged to the end and then it’ll be covered up with the “real truth.”
My point??? It’s a hell of alot easier to lie and blame someone else than to speak the truth…

So what’s the reasoning behind Joe having a party at 5:00? To show confidence?… wtf? Since he’s already got his Plan B in the works as a candidate in the *Joe for Joe* party I don’t get why he’s doing the early festivities bit.

After the new Senator from Connecticut is elected, I just want to forget the name Joseph Lieberman. Forever. Lock, stock and Bushian barrel.
Soon after the polls close tonight, the pungent suffocating scent of formaldehyde from this Democratic charlatan’s campaign bunker will waft and dissipate. The only thing left to hope for now, is that it’s a BIG WIN for Senator Lamont.

GO! GO! GO!!!
SURE IS TAKING A LONG TIME FOR THIS TO BREAK…
“Lieberman spokesman Dan Gerstein admits, despite earlier accusations, that they have “no evidence” that the Lamont campaign — or Lamont supporters — are behind the alleged hack attack on the Lieberman campaign web site.”
– Paul Kiel at Talkingpointsmemo.com

I’m so sorry. A few years ago, I got to the age where I realized that all those soldiers looked like kids because they were now an age where they could have been my kids. It must be heartbreaking to see it from the distance Dr. Turtle does.
It’s a strain, and it’s probably mental trauma as well. As immanentize says, there are health care professionals available – don’t be reluctant to use them.
Maybe it’s just me, but this whole affair immediately conjures up memories of Karl Rove bugging his own office before the Clements-White debate in the TX-Gov race back in ‘86.
This all just seems a little too convenient for the Lieberman camp, don’t you think?
Aren’t there any results in yet?
I just sent the following email to all of the NY Times addresses and the MSNBC addresses.
I encourage you to cut and paste it and email it or a variation as well. Please write! Together, we will be heard.

Please remove or modify your articles that falsely suggest that there is any credibility to the claims by the Lieberman campaign that Lamont or his supporters had any involvement in the recent malfunctions at the Lieberman campaign website.
All of the existing evidence suggests that the website failed because of the fact that Lieberman’s staff had utilized an inexpensive and inadequate website hosting service that lacked the capacity to deal with the increased traffic that occurred in the last few days leading up to the election.
The fact that your publications are printing articles repeating the Lieberman campaign’s baseless allegation without fully investigation is inconsistent with generally accepted journalistic principles.
I implore you to remove the articles regarding the Lieberman website promptly or modify them to state only the facts and to avoid inadvertently becoming a mouthpiece for a political campaign on the day of an election.
Below, I have provided a link to a website that contains relevant information regarding the events involving the Lieberman website today and yesterday.

Thank you for your consideration.
I have tried about 10 times to leave the info… If this comes through I’ll try again…

Our traffic is pretty intense right now. But we’re still up. for now, anway!
Sean Smith was just on Tweety and is trying to morph the website outage into people not having the right to vote, that not having the website up is going to somehow discourage Lieberman supporters from going out and excercising their franchise.
Also, Tweety led with an assertion that the CT Attorney General is going to look into the web site allegations. One look at their AWSTATs and CPanel bandwidth logs and the problem will be obvious even to Laura Bush. You can’t run a major political campaign with a 10GB monthly bandwidth allowance and expect it to be functioning election day.
Maybe Holy Joe can get his good friend Ken Starr to write the report. We all know how stimulating he finds Ken’s purple prose.
You know, if it hasn’t already been pointed out, I think most people who don’t know where to vote could get the information from their local Board of Elections.

YOWSA!
So I go out into the parking lot and what do I see but I picked up a nail and one of my tires is flat. DAMN YOU NED LAMONT!!!!1! DAMN YOU!!! THIS SI ALL YUOR FAULT!!! Ned’s, and Kos’s, of course.
Perhaps Joe’s 5pm “victory party” is just the cover for their election-stealing operation. It’s a convenient way to get all of the operatives together so they can come up with ballot boxes filled with fake ballots. You know, like they did in Battlestar Galactica.
so if joe’s people were just cheap and tech stupid, then…what are the rovian thugs contributing to the day? creative diebold numbers?
Well you know this is all well and good that you’re publihing these rebuttals here and on various websites. However, TV is still the mass medium right now and I have yet to see a Lamont spokesman (other than Ned himself who, let’s face it, can’t be everywhere, and also, was terrific) getting on TV and rebutting the charges and stating exactly what the Lamont campaign offered to do.
I’m sorry but this campaign has gotten a bit parochial in its choice of media. I mean, we KNOW what scumbags Gerstein et. al. are. Its the public that has to be informed…and not tomorrow.
Whoa that Ned has class. He’s hosting a cached version of Joe’s website on Ned’s own site! See Joe Loserman…that’s how you behave like a human being, instead of acting like a neocon shill.

Dear god that was a funny link.
If Joe and his tools are having a 5 pm eastern time party, why isn’t the party on the cable news networks?
Just thinking of brain dead 20 yr old soldiers makes me break out in a cold sweat. My 20 yr old nephew will finish basic training-Marines-this month & the whole family is already freaking out about where he will be sent. The web site devildogs dot info has videos of Marine platoon recruits..I can’t watch the video with my nephew & his platoon without crying. All those young faces…gut wrenching…the war-lusting cabal has so much to answer for.
You took the words right out of my mouth, erix.
erix @ 128
One thing I would add … is Phil Parlock in the house?
I don’t literally mean that I think Phil’s in the house, but these are old campaign dirty tricks … Now, somebody hacked the website (wink, wink)
I’m shocked, shocked I say!
john in sacramento: it’s called a ratfuck. This whole ruse is to lay a justification for the indy run. DOS = Denial of Vote? Pretty lame.
Helo, puppethead!
Hey Pach!
CT Senate: Joe’s Last Stand?
NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Sen. Joe Lieberman made two mid-day stops here Tuesday in the final hours of a campaign that morphed from reelection cakewalk to battle for political survival.

Neither of Lieberman’s events drew much of a crowd — the first was at a gourmet food store named Nica’s Market, the second at Claire’s Corner Copia, a vegetarian restaurant.

Sorry for duplicate posts.
My impatience gets the better of me.
Good night everyone!
Continuing our saga of the Dewey Square Group, we have this
from the WaPo:
Anita Dunn, a partner with Squier Knapp Dunn, a media consulting company, and Minyon Moore, who is with the Dewey Square Group, are now serving as advisers to Obama.
[emphasis added by me]
Is it just me, or are these guys starting to look like a DLC-related organization?
Minyon Moore is also listed in the contact list of the latest DNC Members Contact List in the subsection of the Democratic Governors’ Association. He used to be political director of the Clinton White House, according to some oppo research I stumbled on. I’ll try to get some confirmation of that, but he’s listed as the director of the White House Office of Public Liaison in this WaPo article from 1998.
These guys are apparently connected.
OK. This is funny. The Lamont website has a link pointing to a google cache of the joe2006.com website!
Local news reports the West Hartford polling place has already received a 50% turnout.
CT. Sec. of St*te Vicevich sez on Colin McEnroe turnout could hit over 40percent. If results less than 841 diff will hold till 8-28 for *bsentee b*llots to be counted.
(kbd still fried. Using * for first letter of *bcdefg…)!
Joe Lieberman don’t need no steenkin’ Plan B — his whole campaign has been an abortion since day one.
Tucker is tearing Lanny Davis a new one. Score one for Tucker (can’t belive I wrote that). Lanny is stuttering and spinning like crazy.
Even Kerry beat him in Conn., right?
dKos should hit a million visitors today — Kos has the latest on the lame ass web hosting HoJo relied on. Go see –
http://www.dailykos.com/
Somebody cheer me up.
Between the dirty tricks from the Lieberman camp today, the media’s regurgitation of their baseless accusations, the stunning turnout, the enormous stakes the right has in a Lieberman victory, and the sober realization that victory always seems to slip away from the good guys at the last possible moment, someone tell me why I should still believe that Lamont’s going to win. It would just be TOO huge a paradigm shift for the nation’s established power structure, and they’ve rigged plenty of elections in the past…
Today’s smear job was planned with a purpose, and I think there’s more surprises to come…
OK that does it, I’ve officially popped my chilled bubbly. Mark. My. Words. This pathetic Pandisadore’s Box is going to totally backfire against Joe Blow. The only people they have effectively upset and motivated are us, We The True Blue People. If it’s even possible to disgust us anymore than they have to date.
To quote arbogast @ at 1:55 pm : “Oh, and if it wasn’t obvious before, the print and TV media are simply fucking scared piss-less by the blogs. The blogs are to print and TV what e-mail is to paper mail.”
Hell hath no scorn….. and Joe, his backers, and the Repubs are finding out what fools they have made of themselves. Again and again.
What? Senators don’t have extra security or access? Joe has perfectly exposed his lack of competency, zilcho security measures, his obviously remedial campaign manager/webmaster/shill staffers which only mirrors, nay hightlights, his best buds the Repthug regime’s imcompetence and failures.
Lamont’s well designed professional website along with his acumen, passionate integrity, and vision of a more perfect America, with competent people with competent policies like him in, are as strong and secure as he will be as The new CT senator. Today is: Lamont for America, America for Lamont. *Cheers* (LieberLiar is the only toast around here)
Hopie and ironranger, when your beloveds get home, I just hope you’ll bring ‘em to the clubhouse here so we can love up on them and thank them and tickle them and help them heal too. Since they’re family to you, they’re family to us, and we’ll need to honor and cherish them right along with you.
((((DOC TURTLE)))) ((((IRON-NEPHEW))))
Everybody else, don’t gorge on supper, okay? meta and I have quite the spread o’ horsedoovers-&-dranks all ready to lay out for you soon’s the polls close!
BC, congratz and salutations to you and Cadet CT! Why is news of his recognized excellence no surprise here’bouts?
Master Jack –
A 50-55% turnout in an August Primary is a Tsunami — and there is zero evidence that the LieberVolk are fired up for him.
Meaning, NED LAMONT could crush Lieberman like a grape.
But it ain’t over til the polls close, folks — if you are in Connecticut, head for the nearest Lamont Campaign Office, and GET OUT THE VOTE!!!

iron-nephew…I love it. fdlers are word wizards & damn good peeps too.
Ah, Hope, a stark reminder of why this effort matters so damn much. Hugs to you and your husband…and prayers for the families of these young heroes.
Dr. Ron GLaser was on Minn Public Radio last week talking about his book about war injuries compared to Vietnam when he was a MASH doctor. He said the hardest thing is families having to face their loved one never waking up again. Heart-breaking.
GOTV. GOTV. GOTV. Every last damned one of them matters so very much.
OK what’s with not telling us there’re TWO new threads
“7:40pm: Joe chips a tooth while eating a plate of fried clams. Staffers claim they saw a suspicious clam sneaking out the restaurant’s back entrance wearing a Lamont t-shirt and missing a section of its shell.”
SNAGGED!! Clearly these are LIES, disinformation, misinformation, deceitful PROPAGANDA! (Joe’s kosher, see; clams ain’t. QED)
