Do they use Diebold voting machines in CT? Just asking. Remember, its not how many votes a candidate gets, but who counts the votes.

RFK, I think. Ned’s having some trouble getting his overall message out because the MSM refuses to cover it, as usual making into a horserace and a single-issue campaign. But I’ve been on the phones at the New London HQ for the past several days, and things are deinitely trending Nedward, while Joe keeps embarrassing himself at every opportunity.

While I’ve known about the race for months, I never heard Ned Lamont before his appearance on Colbert’s show. Very impressive. Apart from the strategic importance of showing Joe L the door, I can see why so many people are on fire for him.

Digby mentioned that he could hear a bit of JFK in Lamont’s voice.

Saw him on the Colbert Report last night. I didn’t realize he’d be the guest so I was pleasantly surprised … and sweating bullets until the end of the segment. I think it was a great tactical move for him and he pulled it off!

I wish we had a “Ned Lamont” in Indiana. I’d vote for him in a heartbeat. I haven’t been excited to vote for anyone since casting my first vote ever (at age 19) for Bill Clinton in ‘92.

Lamont brings true opportunity to the Democratic party. He is such a breath of fresh air and I hope to GOD that he wins. The first I’d ever heard of Joe Lieberman was when Al Gore selected him as a running mate. Joe was the ONLY reason I didn’t have the same enthusiasm for Al’s candidacy that I had for Bill’s. I didn’t like Joe (as a running mate) in 2000 and I don’t like him (as a politician) now.

The people of Connecticut have a diamond in the rough in Ned Lamont … hopefully they know a good thing when they see it.

I always feel like the Last of the Mohegans…but I just wanted to thank Jane for these words.

He really does have something in his message and his delivery that people are hungry for right now. I don’t know when the corner was turned from pure anti-Liebermanism to pro-Lamontism, but somehow I think it has happened.

It seems fitting Al Franken told Lamont to not be funny on Colbert’s show… Franken was surprisingly unfunny himself when he was on.

Lamont, on the other hand, kicked butt last nite.

As does your handle, FG!

Just watched it. Nicely done, Mr. Lamont, nicely done. Seemed polished without appearing canned or overly prepared. The more of Lamont I see, the more I like him.

Toughest question, IMO: third rail of foreign policy: Israel. He stumbled a
bit, but he recovered quickly, bringing it back to Iraq and our destabilizing policies in the Middle East.

I also dug the “You’re rich, why aren’t you a Republican?” question. Solid, very solid answer. Too bad I can’t vote next Tuesday (I’ll get to choose between Phil Angelides and the Gropenator come November, yay for me).

JoyB, The Guardian took it upon themselves to do that, and BOY did a bunch of us immediately-distraught Kerryists chew their butt in a hurry! Too late, though.

And yes, it did involve them and their futures too (some of which have since,no doubt, ended in Afghanistan or Basra).

But it was very bad political action. Ya shoulda seen the blowback from OH Goopers on those boards!
