[…] I just finished perusing the transcript of Eric Massa’s session with the folks at FireDogLake and, honestly, I thought it was terrific. I liked Massa’s honest, from-the-hip answers to the questions he was posed and, even more than that, I saw that “live blogging”, or whatever you call this interview medium, is a great way for people to connect with their candidates. Since the interviewee is not on the clock the way he or she is in a conventional interview, it lacks the gotcha quality that town hall meetings and the like can have — the candidate can’t be asked “Quick! Who are the four largest employers in Ontario county?”. […]

I am so happy to see Noel, Mike P, Maria and the rest of the Massa support staff astroturfing the blog comments. They have practiced at DK, myDD and other sites; it is good to see their practice has not gone to waste.

I browsed firedoglake quickly earlier and hit the ACT BLUE page to contribute. I like what I’ve read about Eric Massa and have been meaning to send him a little coin.

He called me! On the telephone. At first I thought it was a robo-call.

He’ll go far.

[…] Eric Massa did some live blogging at FireDogLake earlier today. He took a lot of questions and we’ll be mining his answers to find out more details about his positions on various issues. More on that later today. […]

Hey, all, I’m a blogger from the 29th district who is focusing on the race. Please stop by RochesterTurning to find out what’s going on in the Eric Massa versus Randy Kuhl race.

The first thing I need is statistical information about what jobs contractors and civil servants do in the government. It would also be good to have the terms of some service contracts available. Not just now, but over the last three decades or so. I know the basics, but I certainly can’t prove it. It would be nice to be able to point to PDFs of a couple of “typical” service contracts.

The other thing it would be nice to know is the number of part-time workers in these government contracts. They don’t get health care, and generally don’t get other benefits, either.

There’s probably other stuff, but that’s the stuff I’d have the hardest time finding or verifying.

Cujo, name the type of documentation you seek. I know several crackerjack librarians and researchers; will see what I can do to assist.
