Easy to say when Joe was leading in the polls. Now that it looks like Joe may lose the primary, she is sending in Bill to try and save Joe. If Joe wins she can campaign for him. If Joe loses she can say she sent Bill to support him. Either way she will look good in the eyes of Lieberman supporters. I don’t think anyone will care about Boxer as they will see it as no more than payin Joe back for something, not true support.
