I love the kiss float, but if you’re not a political junkie (show of hands?), you might not know what it’s about. the likenesses are very good, but papier-mache is a crude medium. non-nedheads might not know that it’s holy joe and dear leader, or might not know that “the kiss” was a real event. am i alone on this?

“Some places are writing ballots in three dialects of Chinese,” Johnson said. “We’ve got to look at this. We can’t force these mandates on local governments. They need that money for schools and other things.”
This statement of Johnson makes me very, very angry. Oh yes. . . God Forbid: Chinese! We should make up some difficult tax forms in bad Chinese and then deny people the right to vote. Good one Nancy. Maybe Nancy is thinking of one of those “reading tests” a la Jim Crow Days.

Somebody needs to do an ad like that which helps union workers to think for themselves rather than with their decrepit leadership that has helped drive down union membership in this country past the point of no return.

CT labor rank and file doesn’t stand with Joe.

IAM(International Association of Machinists) and the CT Nurses Union have split with the National office of the AFLCIO to endorse Ned. When Lieberman expressed his disappointment that he would not recieve the IAM endorsement, a union member was overheard to say: “…we’ve been disappointed by you for the last ten years, welcome to the club…”

The National office of the AFLCIO is rumored to have decided that they will support the winner of the Democratic primary.

The CT IAM have hated Joe since they travelled all the way to his offices in DC, to lobby him on an issue, and he refused to even see them. He let them cool their heels in his waiting room for hours before sending a flunky down to say that he’d already made up his mind on the issue. Arrogant ass!

Well, let’s see.

LIEberman has had James Dobson, “Rapture Rick” Santorum, Ann Coulter, and Bill O’Reilly go to bat for him n the last month.

With friends like his, it’s no wonder Lamont is looking better every day.

Kaleidoscope — go onto a Hopi reservation, or any of the more remote pueblo reservations. In my experience most of the old people speak very little English, if any.

Kaleidoscope - my dad has, or had, old Navajo friends who speak no English at all. I’m not sure if they’re a significant part of the population, but I think they’re still out there.
