TBogg warns us that one of John Bolton's most devoted mustache-waxers is Fed-Ex'ing herself to Israel to play Geraldo Rivera in drag.
The ETA for the Apocalypse has been moved up accordingly.
Assuming there's no IQ test at the border, this ought to be train-wreck good.

This truly answers the question I asked myself today.
“How could it get any worse over there?”
Now I know.
Lambert too!
kobe !
If this is what we get for recess appointments, is there a way that the dems can keep congress from recessing?
This is just beyond beyond beyond words.
I fell much safer now knowing this.
I am just speechless….!!!!!!
Gotta sign off and go start reading John Dean’s book. Hard to combat this kind of evil without knowing how.
Pleasegodlettherebevideo.
ReDeb, just got home from buying…you are right …time to crack it open!
OT –
“Online Media and the Future of Journalism” on C-SPAN. Arianna Huffintgon is there. Not sure who else. It’s from June 22nd.
(from previous thread)
Jane, this is your fault for going to Connecticut. Pam’s got the idea that blogging from not-home will build her loyal base, just as it has yours.
Please write to Pam, Jane, and explain the difference between Connecticut and Jerusalem.
Oh, also: will Pam be taking her little video-blogging underage companion?
Who is PAM?
Shell –
I believe she is from Atlas Shrugs. She was the main “character” in that video of the woman with that poor little girl she subjected to listening to her…
Pam will be a real hoot on the Temple Mount !
Fer Chrisakes. Bolton and this Pam freak. I can’t come up with two more unbalanced individuals.
Hold on, lemme think about it for a sec—
Nope. These two are it.
I believe she is from Atlas Shrugs. She was the main “character” in that video of the woman with that poor little girl she subjected to listening to her…
Have you seen her Love Train (Wreck) video? Ohmugawd.
Matt –
Oh! Thanks! What a wacko! Check that baby for drugs — she seems dumb enough to take them to the Middle East.
Moustache waxing?
Is that what they call it these days? I always thought is was . . . never mind.
I think Bolton’s comments were atrocious, but I think he can’t do much ‘damage’ from where he now sits in power. IMHO.

As long as he’s not wielding a stapler.

But beware. It’s crazy ugly.
Isn’t Bolton in the last throes of his recess appointment?
“As if the people in the Middle East haven’t suffered enough.” Bwahahahahaha.
Uh-oh, Pamela, the embassey just called. You’re to be embedded!
Does Pam really see herself as Dagny Taggart?
Heaven help us.
Bolton’s comments are never not atrocious, and he represents our nation at the only world body our little blue orb has for hammering out differences, short of war. He can do incalcuable damage, a great deal more than he has already.
And I bet he’s taken damn seriously by the rest of the world representatives. He is their window into Bush’s soul.
To quote Senator Lieberman, “we undermine him at our peril.”
========
Had Enough?

But beware. It’s crazy ugly.
I hate to give her hits, but this is spectacular.
I swear to God she sings and dances to “Love Train”.
Does Pam really see herself as Dagny Taggart?
I think she actually named her dog Dagny…
Bolton just cast the sole veto in the Security Council on a resolution calling for Israel to cease immediately its aggression. The US veto by Bolton wins no friends worldwide … folk do remember what side you’re on !
Teddy, I submit that this nation backs Bush at our peril. He’s putting us on a terrible track.
folk do remember what side you’re on !
Outside of the US, anyway.
Poor dog.
is Pam typical of NYers in speaking so fast or is that drug induced?
This woman in Jerusalem would be like spraying thousands of gallons of jet fuel on the Great Chicago Fire. If she were coherent and on her meds.
supertits, to the rescue…
is Pam typical of NYers in speaking so fast or is that drug induced?
I’m from NYC originally. I’m pretty sure that is not normal. Actually, I think there’s a consensus that she must be from Lawn Gisland.
supertits, to the rescue…
Cup, cup, and away!
She may end the conflict singlehandedly. Did y’all think of that?
How will she do it? She’ll do another vlog and both the Israelis and Hezbollah will die laughing.
I dunno, Eli! I watched that video and now my eyes hurt and my head doesn’t feel so good…
sort of seizure inducing, I think…
Matt O., I’ve only just mastered the blockquote and the bold tag, but I can’t figure out the irony tag, so I end up quoting RapeGurneyJoe without any way to show my irony.
Yes, indeed, as you said, we support this cabal at our peril.
Undermining them is patriotic and world-friendly.
(chanting in low tones to Matt: book, book, book, book….)
My personal choice is to ignore Bush. However, his performance in Russia this weekend is not something I could ignore. Lecturing Putin on democracy and pointing to Iraq as a role model. Bush deserved to be slammed by Putin.
i miss eli at exchaton.
he’s a traitor.
shh…don’t tell anyone.
Sorry, charley. I’m just burned out.
Nice to see you here, though!
Although these two ARE high on my list for “most unbalanced” you have to remember:
Bush/Cheney
Gonzales/Addington
Rice/Hadley
Santorum/DeLay
Scalia/Alito

just off the top…
Ya know, when I was at the Army Intel School in Baltimore in ‘65 and ‘66 studying to engage in the Vietnam merriment, John Bolten was two miles down the road at a suburban high school arguing on their debate team about the correctness and just plain wonderfulness of our adventure there. Never got around to serving though. God, I hate this guy and every other fraud spawned on this country by the Young Republicans aka: the John Birch Youth.
Matt, left you a comment at the tail of the last thread. Great piece!
In the vein of that comment, talking about follow the patterns, it’s past dang time the Dems start breaking the patterns. Preventing a recess as RevDeb suggested above just might be the place to start.
hotsoup.com which is getting some handy hype from MSM enablers seems to me is NOT the place to start…anything which brings Joe Lockhart and Mark McKinnon into the same agenda further adds to the J-Lie school of democracy. Smacks waaaaaaay too much of that ol’ incumbency protection racket. Saw McKinnon tonight touting Bush using 9/11 for political gain. The skunks can’t disguise their stench.
Bolton has been found to be rather irrelevant as the barbarian in the UN. Since the Bush government has made such a hash of our country’s standing throughout the world, nobody listens to much of what we say there. Sure, we can still veto resolutions because we’re a permanent member, but the North Korean resolution was a huge failure for Bolton. He didn’t get the desired Chapter Seven linkage to justify use of force.
As far as Bolton goes at the UN, he’s more like the crazy relative who has to be tolerated at family gatherings.
I poked around a bit at that Atlas Shrugged site. I had not heard of it, nor of Pamela, and was searching the page for some identifying information and credentials. Interesting things there:
1 - critcism of Bill Clinton for suborning perjury and discussing troop movements while passively engaged in an intern’s sexual attentions (I euphemized there a bit). Totally unlike this administration.
2- a “Freedom of Speech = Democracy” banner they apparently forgot to remove after their Danish Cartoon solidarity effort.
3- A breathily excited post supposedly from Drudge (couldn’t find it there) and cross-linked with Stop the ACLU (the Delaware pogrom folks) claiming a show-stopping debunking of Plame-gate - namely that Novak says he got Joe Wilson’s wife’s name from Wilson’s entry in Who’s Who.
Wha? Her name, sure - but I doubt the Who’s Who entry said “undercover CIA Officer.”
I think Pamela and her friends must not be over-burdened with an abundance of intelligence.
typo in the main post
Assming there’s no IQ test at the border
ASSming
I can use that word somewhere in the future though
Assming the Assmerciless…
The 29th is two weeks away. Look how much has happenned in two DAYS.

Is ANYONE SURE there will be a Jerusalem left by that time?
—-
Or any effective way for ‘foreigners’ to gain access into it?
—–
What is the fate of the 25k U.S. citizens stranded in Lebanon on the 29th?
Teddy 12 — if I had anything to do with this, I owe sincere apologies to the universe.
Ed Deevy at 41:
It would seem to support the argument that he is completely delusional and is fed only fiction re Iraq. Anyone who glances at the front page of any newspaper in the world is better informed about Iraq. Wouldn’t anyone in their right mind me ashamed about the current state of Iraq?
Do you think he was surprised at Putin’s remarks?
The depth of Bush’s awfulness never ceases to amaze me. I should be beyond being embarassed for him at this point, but I guess I’m not.
typo corrected! thanks!
lina, maybe he forgot that Putin isn’t one of his handpicked rubes.
This Universe only, you don’t owe The Evil Parallel Universe anything - I consider us even.
Blank Kludge,
you forgot Dr. Frist, the “let’s go to the videotape” guy and confirmed cat killer.
Suzanne @ 23 — Bolton’s recess appointment ends when this Congress adjourns in late 2006 (per NYT). Can he be re-recess-appointed?
Josh Marshall’s guest poster has a piece on the Dems failure to understand the neverending political fight we’re in that makes some good points reinforcing the essential need to change the patterns.

You can’t keep playing rope-a-dope if you haven’t noticed you’re not even in the ring.
Go NED! And Jane and Christy…

Thanks. Was trying for ‘deuces wild’ stylings…he woulda gone better w/Santorum. DeLay been belayed, anyway.
I think Pamela and her friends must not be over-burdened with an abundance of intelligence.
watch the vlog, it will erase any doubt.
i was just joshing you eli.
i remember when eschaton had a more manageable pace…
That was depressing, Prairie Sunshine. Although I think the Dems’ problem is more lack of balls than lack of clue. But the net result is the same.
I know, charley. ‘Scool.
kak at 58 -
looks like he can -
…he faces uncertain prospects for reappointment to his post when the new Congress begins its term in January…”>http://www.observer.com/200607.....story4.asp
Blank Kludge - perusing through your list I would probably pick Santorum/Delay as a close second.
BTW - (this is so OT) I worked as a waitress at the 600 Club at Fenway in 1990 - the year they lost FOUR STRAIGHT to the A’s in the playoffs. Also the playoff series when R. Clemons flipped off the hometown crowd. I considered him unbalanced, as well as a narcissistic _________. We’d all get done serving around the 6th inning and go sneak into the rightfield bleachers. Quite a lot of fun, though they did lose so badly.
shoephone -
Dave Stewart for the A’s that day?
I don’t think Roger EVER matched Stewart head-to-head; yet w/comparable stats/records, Cy Young to the Rocket. Seemed ‘unfair’ if ya catch my drift.

Did you know rumor has it that John Bolton and Ann Coulter are an item? If they’re not; they ought to be. In ‘uncouthness’ these two are veritable soul-mates. Can you just imagine the children issuing from such a union? Oh God, spare me the visuals! I’m making myself sick. The walrus and the toothpick. Perfect.
Jane, no good deed goes unpunished. We’ll have to see how Pam’s Atlas shrugs, won’t we?
Have we ever had a President say “Just wait!” when challenged by another world leader about his premier foreign policy “accomplishment?” Does he mean it like Eliza Doolittle did? Or is there something more ominous planned for the Russian experiment in democracy?
Thanks for the link Eli. Someone clearly did not get enough attention when she was younger, that much is clear. I have no doubt that hordes of grown (?) men living in their parents’ basement make up the lion’s share of her viewership. They probably think she’s hot. Here’s where god pays her back: the only way she gets “lucky” is with one of her followers. hahahahahahahahahahahahahhaha
Isn’t it Pam who says, introducing her video, “My fans have been asking for videos….”?
Does she get that the Cheeto Brigade wants her less clothed in her videos? I don’t think the Goldberg Goons like her for her brains.
Does she get that the Cheeto Brigade wants her less clothed in her videos?
Sadly, cheetos never win.
Hi from Niagara falls:
I’m travelling with my French friends - you should hear how they feel about the Lebannon situation…
And I could laugh about all this if it wasn’t so darn tragic. The incompetence of our foreign policy is so staggering that all any Democrat has to do is point it out - over and over.
That should be the Dems strategy in a nutshell - incompetence, incompetence. this administration threw a rock in the wrong pond and look at the results…
Bolton was one of Judy Fucking Miller’s visitors.
Stamford Advocate carries AP story Ned v. HoJo; latest campaign finance filings.
http://www.stamfordadvocate.co.....local-wire
Bolton’s got quite a little distaff fan club: Judy, Coulter, Pam…
Shoephone and Blank Kludge - if there was ever a pitcher on steroids (and I think there have been a bunch of them) Roger Clemons of the early thru mid 90’s would be my all-star, first-team pick.
BK —
The Stamford Advocate article is interesting, because Lamont’s cash on hand ($276k) is almost exactly equal to the money raised for him by everybody on ActBlue ($262k). Not the same money, for sure, but the same amount, almost.
Thanks for that link!
Blank and McGee -
Clemons’ behavior that night really sealed my loathing for him. As far as steroids, and remember we’re talkin’ 1990 - Jose Canseco was Oakland’s hero of that playoffs series. Hit after hit after homerun…
And just to be truly gossipy - I thought I read that Coulter was “dating” Mickey Kaus from Slate.
Teddy @ 76 it’s that mustache.
For some women it makes them willing to sell their souls!
Not that Bolton’s does anything for me, but Mr Bionic does have a nice ’stache and goatee.
The Great Game
Billmon has a post on current events in Lebanon; his thesis is that Israel has already lost, because they have not already won.
http://billmon.org/archives/002528.html
I agree — but mostly, I believe that all of this is a chess game, being played by Iran.
Hezbollah is supported by Iran; while their actions may or may not be vetted by Iran, they would not act in ways that run counter to the interests of Iran.
Let’s check the pieces on the board.
BushCo listens to Chalabi Inc, and invades Iraq expecting flowers and chocolates. It turns out that Chalabi and company are Iranian agents (or at the least, infiltrated by Iran — Chalabi’s #2 is now fat and happy in Tehran.) Instead of a cheap and easy victory, the entire offensive capability of the US Army and Marine Corps are ground to dust in the Iraqi sandbox.
So in the opening gambit, Iran captures our Queen; eliminates Saddam, their most hated enemy, while BushCo creates an Iranian friendly Shia government in Iraq.
What’s left on the board? Israel.
After killing a few IDF troops and capturing three — count ‘em three, IDF soldiers — Israel commits all of it’s forces to destroying Gaza and Lebanon.
Advantage: Hezbollah.
Advantage: Iran.
So where is the USA? Well, we have an imbecile preznit who talks about pigs while the Middle East goes up in flames, and the stock markets and oil markets go into panic mode.
Advantage: Iran.
Game, Set, Match — Iran.
Way to go, Democracy Boy.
Commander Codpiece really showed them A-rabs who is boss.
As far as steroids, and remember we’re talkin’ 1990 - Jose Canseco was Oakland’s hero of that playoffs series. Hit after hit after homerun…
Did you see where he wanted to be a steroid investigator for the Mitchell Commission?
*snort*
Sheeit, that Pam chick is such a riot. I almost feel like it’s Alex Keeting lampooning of Republicans type of deal. What a hoot!
Atlas Pam is paid for propaganda thru Rendon/Lincoln. We need proof.
If Pam is a paid hack, it oughta be for minimal wage, and I would ask for a variance in her case if we ever get a hike.
Sorry, don’t keep up much on sports.
ck - Have you ever thought that our Chimp and the Iranian and Syrian Chimps all simply “win” through chaos, through eternal perpetuation of the violance? You can’t be a superhero without a nemesis - so Chimpy and Iran and Syria all need each other to play the expected role; and, surprise, surprise, they do. Who would’a guessed?
Is the US and its proxy Israel wrong? Yeah. Are Iran and Syria and their proxy Hezbollah wrong too? Yeah.
There is no good side, all the political actors are bad, and the real “winners” certainly don’t live in Israel or Lebanon or Gaza or the West Bank - that’s where the losers reside.
Which of course leads me to cite what I consider the definitive source on Middle East politics: the movie “Batman”:
Batman: You killed my parents.
The Joker: What? What? What are you talking about?
Batman: I made you, you made me first.
The Joker: Give me a break. I was a kid when I killed your parents. When I say “I made you” you gotta say “you made me.” How childish can you get?
Batman: I’m going to kill you!
The Joker: You IDIOT! You made me. Remember, you dropped me into that vat of chemicals. That wasn’t easy to get over, and don’t think that I didn’t try.
You can choose whoever you want to play Batman or the Joker, doesn’t matter.
EPU 88
This is exactly the conclusion I came to today.
Bushco isn’t incompetent, this is just what they want. They bankrupt us, make us feel impotent in our own country, drown us in propaganda, and enrich their plutocrat friends. And when we are so demoralized and so broke, we will go along with whatever fascist system they set up.
I think it’s working out very well for them, to quote someone as despicable as her son.
And yes, it means Bushco and the terrorists have the same goals.
People who break car windshields = people who repair broken car windshields.
Analogy to Bush/Cheney crime syndicate: go for it.
- ck -
yes, I think we have been played by Iran.
Perfectly.
Little dog…..The equivalent is the tar baby. Both sides create evil fabications to chase after, as a means to use and to bankrupt and enslave civil societies for their empires. In the end everyone will have tar on their hands except the money changers.
the only one “playing” people is the US– we are responsible for US. fugghedabout blaming everybody else– we need to get real statespeople elected and empowered.
Does Pam really see herself as Dagny Taggart?
Based on her writings, she evidently (whether consciously or not) models herself after Lois Cook, the author within Atlas Shrugged who wrote The Gallant Gallstone.
CK 82…You forget these boyos have nukes…and have been looking for a excuse to remove Iran from the game. After watching this crew of sociopaths,I truly expect to wake up one morning with no internet, full martial law,and the usa universaly despised as the only country to have used nukes twice on non-nuke opponents

Late props Eli, but thanks–best laugh I’ve had all day.
John Bolton’s time is up next month right? Will the Dems grow some balls and stop his nomination to continue in the rightwing ideological campaign to fuck us all?
“And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?”
Clearly, the answer to Yeats’ question is “Pamela.”
http://letterfromhere.blogspot.....pdate.html
That business with Atlas Shrugged going to Israel is scary. Does she exist for any other reason than pissing people off? And, yes, that’s a survivable character trait for some people, just not journalists (ahem) covering the Gaza-Lebanon-Israel 2006 war.
I pray that she video blogs early and often.
She must get paid, you know, it costs money to travel in a war zone on short notice. Or she has deep pockets in her PJ or something.
