Nispero—so lets see if I’ve got your idea of his qualifications correct…never done anything political in his life except teach politics & government to high school students plus served in both the Army and the Navy.

Naw, you’re right. No experience there that I’d like to see in Congress. Now if he has twenty years in the pest extermination business…then he’d be truly qualified to serve the people.

This dialogue surely appears concocted…Nobody speaks flowery language like this except Oscar Wilde. Rick Penberthy has never done anything political in his life except teach politics & government to high school students…vote..and run for office (pipe dream). His little Channel 8 clip showing the labor union strikers was orchestrated by Lavanne Miller and Keith Cate, Kevin’s father. His “activism” is a joke we Floridians are well-acquainted with.

Very late to the party here, but I just had to send this link to my formerly Republican mother, as well as two brothers and a sister who all live in Zephyrhills (if any of my siblings ever voted Repub they wouldn’t admit it to me or my late union leader father).

I’ve asked them to spread the word, since they haven’t quit complaining the last six years how much tougher things are down there.

My mom lives in this district — she has voted D most of her life. When all of her neighbors voted for Bush in 00, she voted for Gore. Last time, about half peeled off and voted for Kerry. Now they have all had it with the Rs.

These folks live on a golf course and have enough money not to have to worry, but not enough that the tax cuts helped them. They fear the war and the growing deficit — because they love their kids and grandkids and see how this R-run govt is poisoning their future.

They’re not idealogues — they’re sensible people with brain cells who think beyond their 4 walls and think about the kind of world they are leaving to the next generations.

Even the hard-core R, Fox News types where she lives can’t stand the incumbent there any more.
