Jon Conyers is holding a hearing June 16 on the Downing Street Memo. He will be in another too small room and have a press conference at 5 pm of that day. His hearings have been covered by cspan in the past. This might be different…’cause of the high crimes and misdemeanors thingy.

With as many”positioning”leaks as are occuring,I lean to the idea a break is close..lots of cross-currents and such. Th long term stratigy types must be burning the night oil contemplateing the emergence of a solid left,progresive democratic party.It would not surprise me to see Schumer{the P.O.S that he is}try to kill net neutrality simply to try and get a handle on the blog….With joes bloody scalp at their belt,netroots will have become a force to kill or control…

I think the piece, if accurate, basically gives an out (free pass) to everyone under Bush – and Bush himself on Plame. The Preznit says “do something” (out a CIA agent – he ostensibly can do that legally). The outing was done by Cheney, Scooter etc. Everything’s thus “legal.” Plus, Bush can’t be blamed because he never said exactly what to do. Sounds paradigmatically Rovian as a scenario. And, if it was Rove who leaked it, all the more likely

Sorry everybody, just got to the party, so let me throw a thought log onto the fire.

Having stated previously that I believe Rover is cooperating under a proffer with “the Fitz”, I would like to pontificate, if I might, on how that agreement came about without everyone thinking I’m wearing a tinfoil hat.

I don’t believe it beyond the scope of probability that Abu Gonzales himself intervened on Rover’s behalf with Fitz. It would explain the sighting of Abu’s motorcade to the Federal courthouse, set the stage for the alleged marathon meeting in Luskin’s office, and if the agreement was carefully structured so as not to piss off Fitz, it may in fact explain the leaking to Murray.(Hence Bushie wanting to get on the record as to what he told Fitz)

It will become known, if not already, that Abu/Bush has already chosen sides, and is well on the way to deep-sixing Scooter, and possibly Darth Vader. If this be the case, we should all tighten our Plame seat belts as the ride is soon to become supersonic.

The stuff about the GJ testimony is old news and there’s really no one being helped by the article from what I can tell. Rove trying to put distance between Cheney and Bush is as common as Elvis sightings and about as politically useful: in the public’s mind Cheney may be the true prince of darkness but Bush is no prize, either.

I dunno. There’s something else going on here but I don’t get it. I’m too much of a linear thinker to figure out what Waas is really trying to say.

I was thinking more of their broad governmental support for education and health care.

To my knowledge, Cuba inherited anti-gay laws from the US-backed Batista regime and removed them between 1979 and 1988. The US Supreme Court started catching up with Cuba in 2003 via Lawrence v Texas, a 5 to 4 ruling that’s at risk with Alito and Roberts.

The intellectuals in prison may be the ‘librarians’ arrested in 2003 for attempting to implement the Bush/Cheney regime change op.
