Jane,

I’m glad you made it to CT without incident. This week was not the best week to be driving across PA.

Give Lieberman’s nose a tweak for me, please. :)

No kidding about the “To Sir With Love” throat lump.

From a link on the Ed Schultz chat board to Crooks and Liars, then to here, Jane you seem to be everywhere these days, and that’s a good, good thing.

Jane, welcome to our very, very humble city. I’ll second or naysay someone else and say the Worcester Square area should be a consideration for pizza (except they have weird hours in the summer.)
BTW. I think ol Joe might be sending out weird mailings. I can’t be sure. But I have a creeping suspicion.

Sure, Ned’s latest ad MAY appeal to Kids, but how many of them vote? Take note people, Joe’s figured out it’s the voters who remember Weicker that will decide this very tight election. Lose them and Ned loses, it’s that easy! I wonder how many redcoats have joined Ned’s parade in hopes of pushing the frenzy to the point of scaring Conn’s elderly voters?

I have been wondering whether Lieberman has long had in the back of his mind an independent run at the presidency with McCain, after McCain is rejected by the Republicans. The independent run here might be consistent with something he has been thinking about anyway.

I think Lamont’s video sucks! It’s that same ol’ format where people are saying the same overlapping lines where they repeat the last words of the previous person as they pick up where they left off. The ad agencies have beeen doing this shit for about the last 10 years now and it’s old and stale and uncreative and irritating as hell.

To Sir With Love my ass!

At least it’s better than Holy Joe’s.

Wow. What a fabulous political spot. I think this is a beginning of a new chapter in proactive politics.

There are a lot of voters that will come to the polls to vote for genuinely attractive candidates like Ned. If we can pull this one off, we can do it somewhere else, too. Like in my own state.

Is there a Democrat that can run against Maria Cantwell in my home state of Washington? She is one of the biggest boosters of the Iraq war, and so much of the time votes with the Republicans on key issues.

I know she has to play a delicate balancing act between the liberal Seattle corridor and the extremely right wing rest of the state. But she still refuses to acknowledge that the vote for the war was a mistake, and she seems incapable of understanding that continuing this illegal and bloody occupation has absolutely no chances of success.

She sometimes votes with the Democrats on vital issues, but in most respects she carries a lot of water for the Repugs. Much like Lieberman.

I am going to vote for her opposition (Mark Wilson) in the primary, but even though he has solid liberal platform, and is a geniuinely nice guy, he just doesn’t have enough name recognition, campaign funds, and - as Hollywood would put it - he just doesn’t have “it”.

Ned does have “it”, in great abundance. There are certain people that have this gift, and it is exhilerating when someone like Ned is willing to use his gift in such a positive way.

So I’m rootin’ for Ned in Seattle. I hope the voters make this happen in Connecticut, because this is another step in a revolution that lets ordinary work together in a powerful way to start positive changes in the way our government works for us, and for the benefit of the entire planet.

BTW, the phrase “I’m going to be your next Senator” works just fine. Go Ned!

My first ever comment on FDL, but I just have to make this post of UTMOST importance.

Everyone who lives in New Haven (welcome to my home, Jane!) knows that the best pizza here is actually MODERN on State St.

Sally’s is “meh” and Pepe’s is really good, but those two are for the tourists. Modern is where the locals go for a pie, and it’s better’n both of the others, anyway.
