Didn’t see anything relating to the George Ryan case in Illinois. IIRC, the case was initially a “bribes for Licenses” investigation, wherein truckers were getting license by paying off DMV employees. Ryan, at the time frame the investigatons were looking at, was the the Secretary of State. He was NOT, a “target” in the case. After years of slogging invetigative work, the non-target, who had become Governor, was convicted of numerous criminal acts. I’ll put my money on the same kind of work in this case that he showed in the Illinois case. It may take a while, but if there’s a little bit of flame under all the smoke, Fitz will find it.
