The Connecticut Post devoted a page to three long letters to the editor about this – with big, block letters titled, “Lieberman Blasted and Lamont Lauded”. They’re not online – the Post doesn’t put letters on their webpage – but for those in the local (and the letters were from Stamford, Fairfield and guilded Greenwich) – we got a scorching about Joe.

The nerve of this ragtag, by the way, subjecting a three-term Senator to the ‘terrorism’ of a primary challenge! People like Holy Joe Lieberman should be granted a permanent Senate seat, without having to deal with the distatefulness of actually winning his party’s nomination! ;^)

Seriously, it’s time for Harry Reid & Co. to ask Joe, NOW, whether he intends to run as an independent if he loses to Lamont in the primary. And if he doesn’t give a clear, forthright ‘NO’ as an answer, it’s time to boot him out of the party, and inform the Connecticut Democratic Party that Lamont’s the nominee.

Well, if it’s “an extremely small group”, the Senator shouldn’t be terrorized, eh?

Smith said Lieberman would not promise to support Lamont, because the businessman voted frequently with Republicans as a local official in Greenwich.

“The only public record this guy has, he voted time and again like a Republican,” Smith said. “Why would we support that?”

That’s part of being involved in a democratic process, isn’t it? Does the Senator represent his party or not?

“Every single weirdo in the left wing will be there,” Droney said. “That’s what the Lamont strategy is all about.”

Makes me sad I ever voted for Lieberman.

The nerve of that a**hole Droney to talk about politics as terrorism. It would be idiotic for anyone to say that, but for someone from the tri-state New York area, a home state for many victims of 9/11, it is inexcusable.

Jane, I love it when you bring up Alito. Those nightmare hearings were such a turning point for me. I hope chants of “Remember Alito!!” follow all those DINO traitors to their political graves. Joe is the first to go, but not the last. What was that great Al Pacino line from “Scent of a Woman,” when the school principal told Al to shut up and go away? Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think it was, “I’M JUST GETTIN’ WARMED UP!!!” That’s how I feel about the Alito payback.

To be the change we want to see and all that here are my modest proposals for fora self management.
1) Stuff may be hidden by site owners.
2) Peeps may be warned by site owners.
3) Peeps may be suspended by site owners if warnings are ignored.
4) There is natural justice through an appeals process at the hidden page.Should someone hidden get a quorum of 12 netizens in good standing then due process will be applied with a ‘ trial’.
5) No cruel and unusual punishments… unless requested by kinky consenting adult constituents.
These process’s may take time and bandwidth but could also keep the site user friendly and *gasp* directly democratic.

PS - Fuck Dino coffin Joe and his Military/entertainment complex.
They’re old - we’re young and that’s life.
