Joe Lieberman is hiding from the people of Connecticut, appearing only in canned meetings -- while Ned Lamont travels to town halls in parts of Connecticut that haven't seen Holy Joe's preachy ass in 18 years. Likewise Lieberman has nothing but thin-skinned resentment for the netroots community (those touchy people who aren't exactly thrilled at the prospect of 30 more years of Strip Search Sammy) but Ned has no trouble answering online questions directly over at Kos today. Take a look, you'll be impressed with how knowledgable and down-to-earth he is. (I followed him today on Mother Jones Radio and they were quite impressed with how "non-politician" he was when he spoke, well informed and not locked in double-speak.)
I thought this was interesting:
Q. Question... How has the Democratic Party as a whole reacted to you. Have you been pressured to drop out or told you are hurting the overall ticket or been asked to not hit Lieberman so hard. Have they tried to make you go away like Paul Hackett? Or are you getting a lot of silent support?by naufragus on Wed May 31, 2006 at 04:38:38 PM PDT
A. Publicly the party brass do not think much of primaries, but privately many of them are saying "go for it," the Party needs a shot in the arm.
I think Ned was being diplomatic here. My guess is many are saying "we're sick of being stabbed in the back and undermined by that camera hog Lieberman, if you can pry him off Meet the Press more power to you, fella."
But that's only a guess.

Fitz!
Ned!
I knew it was too good to be true…
Fitz anyway!
ROOTS!!
NedMentum!
The times they are a changing.
(I guess that dates me)
Nootz!
Heh.
Hahahaaa. Yeah, that’s probably the way it went down!
It’s just so refreshing to see a real person run for public office who has the public good in mind. I actually really liked that Ned’s first comment was a sort of mea culpa - hey, forgive me, I’m new to the blogging thing! That kind of honesty and straight talk scores big points. At least he’s jumped into the fray and he’s not pretending to be anything he’s not. I wish I could vote for him. GO NED! You’re an inspiration! Could you maybe move to California?
Ned for Prexy, 2012! I know … getting a little ahead of myself.
in a substantially one-party district, the primary is where the action is — the fall (general election) is just an afterthought and formality…
I’m working on a city councilmanic race right now for 2007. Securing the Party’s ’slating’ in February for the Primary in May is the real battle although the election isnt til Nov.2007 …
darkblack - ouch!
Oh Dark Black that’s great.
‘Mmmmm…Lieberman.’
;>)
If the goal for Ned (if not “of” Ned) is to “pry [Lieberman]off Meet the Press,” then Ned has already succeeded beyond anyone’s wildest dreams. Torture Joe is off the Sundays and Meet the Press is reduced to relying on, well, Republicans alone to parrot Republican talking points.
Without Lieberman around to act as trustee for the guards, the value of the whole Rovian narrative has been reduced. Hurray for Ned!!
Darkblack — THAT was disturbing….
What eyes they have– bee-yoo-ta-ful! And check out the brain power and honesty and love.
Joe is blown…away!
Curious Jim, let’s get Ned a seat first in the Senate. Chris Dodd wants to run for preznit *still slapping myself on the head*.
What an exciting thread over at Dkos — people from all over our nation yearning for leadership and honesty, reaching out to one man who dares to stand up to this war machine and its enablers.
Ned gives us all hope. Thank you, Jane, for introducing me to him….
Jane - the only downside to Ned winning is that Joe will be spending more and more time on the Sunday shows as a pundit. The balanced shows - you know, him, Roberts, Kyl, Klein.
The fact that I can still change is channel is the only thing that steels me to make that Lamont contribution. *g*

OT lhp below “the rest of our problems will still be here and our Constitution will still be in the shredder” That’s it in a nutshell and why I obsess.
Joe-nertia.
That’s one fabulous pic.
Apart from the proud pappa aspect (I assume the little girl is Lamont’s daughter), the pic just exudes love and integrity and human warmth and kindness.
Beautiful, beautiful photo.
I think this is another way in which the net can help to take money out of the equation in elections. Think about it. If candidates don’t need to buy TV commercials or direct mailings to get their message out, if voters can actually ask about the issues that matter to them and base their decision of what the candidate has to say instead of what some copywriter put in a flyer????
Well, gee wiz, we may get us some paticapatory democracy here.
THAT is one of the nicest pictures I think I’ve ever seen… on a purely PR note, I hope that this one gets published lots and often.
Oh that reminds me. Anyone check out Bob Adam’s latest post at ctbob.blogspot.com. ? I love it. Part retaliatoin for Joe’s worst VH1 convention moment, part for the disinformation ‘mercial Lieberman’s been runnning, maybe?
mui - Chirs Dodd sure made a splash with his declaration, didn’t he? I’d already forgotten.
Teddy — I’ve been nothing but thoroughly impressed with Ned, his campaign, the people who work for him and the integrity of the whole operation. I talk about him because I really believe in him. Wanting to see Holy Joe replaced only gets you so far — my experience with Ned is that he is worthy of trust and respect.
oh, lordy, darkblack. heh heh
immanentize @ 16:
Well, just for you then, amigo…And remember, kids, don’t be a yellow puddle democrat…
;>)
It was nice to see Ned’s civility percolate through the comments in his DKos diary/live blog. I noted that his “take the high road” campaign is an inspriation.
(well, so much for the civility: Ned shreds; Joe blows)
Hi *ilson- could you please check out mod com again? New stuff.
meta, you mean you can’t hear the creaky machinery squeaking its wheels after that declaration. Anyway I thought it was a given the Rethugs would bring up some longforgotten drinking binge with old Teddy.
darkblack, THANKS!
I needed that….
My son wet his bed a few times when he was three, but that was physiology. I assure you he will never wet the bed for ideology.
Valllleeeeeeey!
My guess is many are saying “we’re sick of being stabbed in the back and undermined by that camera hog Lieberman, if you can pry him off Meet the Press more power to you, fella.”
I’m not an expert in candidate-speak, but it sounds like a good translation to me.
Just caught up w/your backtrack.
“Moultered Coulter”
Damn. Yer right. Nice one. I could crawl under a rock and just die for moultered shame not to a seen it.
Think there’s a rousing ballad in there somewheres:
[sing along, now, you know the tune:]
“Ann Coulter’s Undead Zombie Lies A-Moultering in the Grave …”
mui (23), thanks for the plug. Right after that video, I posted another: “Mr. Lamont Goes to Washington”. All those comparisons to Jimmy Stewart finally clicked in my mind (and Scarce’s idea on “My Left Nutmeg” got me motivated):
http://ctbob.blogspot.com/2006.....ngton.html
Jane, you are amazing! I’m loving all these Lamont threads lately; you’re inspiring me to keep at the blogging. Thanks!
now Huckermill, let’s not go all “Late Nite” just yet….. :~)
Mary - if you’re still here, thanks for answering my question about CT Republican vote.
Ned Lamont seems like such a genuine and good person, and if there’s anything the Senate needs, it’s someone with clear-eyed vision and principles.
Ned Lamont seems to be so much more about hope, and about moving forward, which is a stark contrast to Lieberman, who just doesn’t get it anymore. Ned’s message about what he stands for, what he wants to do, serves only to highlight how bereft of principle and ideas Lieberman really is. Ned won’t have to go negative - Lieberman is one big negative all by himself. A campaign that forces a candidate to run away from himself and his own record is doomed.
Onward, Ned Lamont!
I just found out that a friend of mine in OK has decided to run for state rep. That’s what more of the roots progressives should be doing. Go for it!
No problem, Bob. We’re going to get a *real* senator. One who doesn’t answer our letters on net neutrality or whatever with something about small private business, blah blah, nada nada, gang of 14. Yay!
Punaise- I left you a comment on the previous thread.
Methinks Lieberman hath gazed too readily and too oft into the Palantir of Orthanc.
immanentize @ 36:
The power of Teddy conquers all…And the yellow puddles are left by those who will not fight for justice, an accusation which I strongly doubt could be accurately leveled at the denizens of FDL.

Is it too soon to sing that song from Wizard of Oz “ding, dong”?
Immmmmmannnn!!!
Darkblack
Fabulous! You could also switch Joe’s head with Bush’s and call it “Ummmmm Bush.” Works either way.
THe photo is pure anti-joementum. Wonder what BagNewsNotes would have to say about.

From the dept. of “I’m not paranoid, I’m just curious”:
Does everyone’s most recent post(s) have a mauve/magenta-colored banner associated w/their name, or is it just some sorta code meaning I’m on probation and will get the boot real soon if my jokes don’t improve?
immanentize- apart from anything else, I find it terribly had to read the comments at dKos because of the format. And those repeating closing tags on comments really are annoying. And, I know exactly what you mean about the other issue. Did you see the article where Jane noted the much higher percentage of xx readers at FDL relative to some other sites of note?
Huckermill,
“Does everyone’s most recent post(s) have a mauve/magenta-colored banner associated w/their name, or is it just some sorta code meaning I’m on probation and will get the boot real soon if my jokes don’t improve?”

Oh, cbl, I don’t think so, that is thick with sarcasm. He’s just pointing out that everyone’s tired but that they better get their second wind in a hurry or here’s what happens: Pelosi, Conyers, etc. I think it’s a rallying cry.

Huckermill @ 6:59 pm (#48) - It means “buffered pending NSA data duplication”.;-)
Actually, it’s there if you have Javascript enabled, and I guess it’s so that you can tell your recent posts from others. If you reload the page (hit your browser’s reload button, IOW), that all goes away.
If your comment is in the queue for moderation, you’ll still see that note about “waiting for moderation” just like before.
Given the last two threads and the fact that Pach did a post on this, here is something that I found at the Huffpo:
“Human Rights Campaign is proud to endorse these supporters. From our close friend and champion Representative Tammy Baldwin to our long-time supporter Senator Lieberman to the always fair-minded and outspoken Senator Lincoln Chafee, our endorsees give voice to the millions of Americans who believe in fairness.”
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/.....21946.html
Sounds like Solmonese is Sierra Club material.
Hell, I don’t mind the blushing banner.
It’s one of the two ways that men physically reveal their true feelings.
(btw, should mention that I appreciate but haven’t looked at either of the two video links provided; not for lack of interest, certainly, but rather b/c I is gotta ancient machine and it has a tendency to act remarkably like Fred Sanford experiencing “The Big One” whenever I try to d/l graphics.)
Here’s how I sum up Jomentum. I am a lifelong, loyal, solid liberal Democrat. Joe has had 18 years in the U.S. Senate. He has been graced with his party’s vice-presidential nomination. He should be a party elder, a principled leader in the resistence to the Bush maladministration and attempt to destroy our constitutional democracy. He should act like a DEMOCRAT. Instead, he panders to Bush, he grovels before Bush, he attaboys Bush, he scolds and lectures Democrats for standing up to Bush. I’ve HAD ENOUGH. Ned Lamont is the Democratic future.
Funny you should mention.
In my original query, rather than my shtick about “booted unless my jokes improve?” I originally wrote: … “or is it some kinda NSA code meaning I’m assigned for internment if the programming fails?”
… but figgered I was too new here to post that w/o a misunnerstanding of intent, so went w/the tamer version.
Tx. for the explanation that followed, btw.
(I actually kinda like the blushing banner, and much as I trip over myself, find it rather appropriate.)
Oh sheesh. I am registered at DailyKos. Now if I could remember my password and figure out a way to brave the crowds . . .
Joe Lieberman was a crafter of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” — he ain’t no friend of mine!
Since appearances count for so much these days, I think Mr. Ned and his child are winners. Such a nice, direct, unstaged, spontaneous picture of two family members who, obviously, are used to expressing affection for one another.
Gurney-Joe, on the other hand, is a dissapated-looking, dragged-out talker, and generally, inauthentic and sanctimonious. We only have pictures of Bush kissing him…ugh, not a pleasant comparison with Mr. Ned and his daughter.
It almost makes me wish I lived in Connecticut so I could vote for Mr. Lamont.
I watched them, Coz, thanks. Never loved Stewart much, but wore out “Truth”.
I’m so sorry, Cujo, I need to sleep, I think.
Sorry, sorry.
well…what are the residency requirements in CT for registering to vote in the Primary and/or General? It’s a Federal office so it should be fairly relaxed…a vacation cottage should suffice as long as you aren’t also registered and voting elsewhere
Hi *ilson!!! Could you please check out “moderated” again? VG

Hugh:
Thanks for the link. I’ve posted a comment I hope will appear shortly.
I’d be glad if any other FDL’ers want to welcome Mr. Solomonese at HuffPo.
http://www.bradblog.com/archives/00002891.htm
A damning and detailed feature article, written by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., for Rolling Stone and documenting evidence of the theft of the 2004 Presidential Election is set to hit newstands this Friday, The BRAD BLOG can now confirm. The online version of the article will be posted tomorrow (Thursday) morning.
The article — headlined on the cover as “Did Bush Steal the 2004 Election?: How 350,000 Votes Disappeared in Ohio” — has been several months in development and will contend that a concerted effort was undertaken by high-level Republican officials to steal the Election in Ohio — and thus the country — in 2004!
Kennedy told The BRAD BLOG this morning that “the best evidence says the Republicans succeeded” in their plan.
He writes in the 10-page long article, and confirmed to us today, that evidence shows Ohio Sec. of State J. Kenneth Blackwell was “certainly in on” the scheme, and there are indications that the effort went all the way up to the White House.
Kennedy, who is co-host of Ring of Fire, a weekend show on Air America Radio, is an environmental attorney and the son of the late Robert F. Kennedy. This is his first public foray into the realm of Election Fraud, Election Integrity, Electronic Voting and, in particular, the questionable results of Election 2004.
A major publicity push is currently in the works to accompany the feature story which is sure to get the attention of more than a few D.C. and Buckeye State pols in addition to the mainstream media who have, of late, begun reporting more frequently on the litany of concerns and now-documented evidence that new electronic voting machines are hackable through a number of means.
Several public appearances are currently being scheduled for Kennedy in the coming weeks, including an appearance on The Colbert Report currently scheduled for Monday, June 12.
*ilson (66). Ah no! please. Not the vacationers with their big fancy cars. Ahhhh!
zennurse -
thanks, guess you’re right, he’s warning them of ‘the fire next time’ although the comments are pretty defeatist - was just initially struck by the overall tone - been seeing it a lot at other sites as well.
sweet dreams
Huckermill,
the beauty of sites like YouTube & Pandora are their ease of use - vids & songs load easily and quickly and may not freeze or crash your older machine (been there, crashed that . . .)
I am so tired of the supremacy of the Repub propagandia machine. Most Dems on MSM respond to Repub phraseology & control of the message. Do we hear the Dems say in response to a slanted question…..?” NO the question to ask now is…..” By perpetuating the Repub slant the Dems lose the opportunity to rephrase to a valid question.which needs to be presented in a “they just don’t get it attitude”… it is a matter of persuasion as well as political viewpoint.
& 66, I almost cried when I was driving by this lake in X town in CT and all the farms & cows were gone and in their place were macmansions. And in the Northwest corner there are celeb macmansions. I hate to sound like one of those handwringing types, but I like to know I can get my food fresh. I don’t like the cost of living and realestate spiking. It’s not fair to the farmers that are still there in the N.W. corner.
YAYES!!! The RSS feed is corrected & updated…
Sevenscore and eight years ago, there was a 49-year-old man who ran for the senate. He didn’t win, but within two years he was the only candidate in a 4-man field who had any chance of being elected President.
This is the most significant race in the country this year. If Ned Lamont can defeat Joe Lieberman and lead a Democratic sweep of federal races in Connecticut on an anti-War platform, there’s no limit to what he can achieve.
I for one am looking forward to the RS article. I followed the events closely via BradBlog at the time. Let the comments speak…
http://www.bradblog.com/archives/00002891.htm
[]Pollster Lou Harris of the Harris Poll — described in the piece as “the father of modern day political polling” — says: “Ohio was as dirty an election as America has ever seen.”
Despite Harris’ comments, which may be amongst the most explosive in the article, Kerry himself brings up the rear…
John Kerry: “Can I draw a conclusion that they played tough games and clearly had intent to reduce the level of our vote? Yes, absolutely. Can I tell you to a certainty that it made the difference in the election? I can’t. There’s no way for me to do that. If I could have done that, then obviously I would have found some legal recourse.”===
Yeah, John Kerry. You so really really pissed me off at the time that I lost all respect for you. (further comments deleted).
VG (79). One question. Can we impeach?
I think we were all greatly disappointed when Kerry seemed to fold so soon after Ohio. It is indeed possible that he was correct about the impossibility of a successful challenge BUT he didn’t seem to try too hard - and he didn’t let us know how he arrived at that conclusion. Deeply disappointing!
a President can be impeached for anything (vide W.J.Clinton) if the political will is there in the House…Andrew Johnson thought he got a raw deal there too
YearlyKos’ers -
One week to go. Yeah!
I’ll be there.
I live here in Vegas. Am plugged into the entertainment scene big-time -

In case anyone needs the skinny on nightlife. e.g., my friend, grammy nominee venerable jazz giant Ronnie Foster (George Benson, Stevie Wonder, Earl Klugh, the Temptations, etc) will be at The Artisan Thurs and Sat starting at 10 pm (he’s also in the Clint Holmes show at Harrah’s). A great hang, that place. See my blog. Ex- Steely Dan musical director (current music director in the “Hairspray” show at Luxor) Drew Zingg on guitar (monster chops).
zennurse @ 7:32 pm (#65) - Sorry for what? I’ve checked the last two threads, do I need to go back further?
*ilson- not just that- but he waffled and waffled on supporting the later legal challenges. And, he made big deal of “every vote counts”. And, it still isn’t clear what happened to all of the extra money that Kerry had in hand after the “election” (and had not spent… there was quite a sum… I can’t remember the details, but that part also pissed me off)
I don’t want to rain on the support for Ned, but I deeply suspect that Lamont needs to find a way to make himself acceptable/supprtable to the Mob that still runs much of ct’s politics-lets not forget the last governors problems with contractors gifts, Contractor is connecticut for mob. Anyway, it is perhaps not well known but the mafia and New England are pretty old friends and the mob is one of CT’s oldest families and well entrenched in Democrat poiltics. How is Ned going to get their support? How did Leiberman do it himself? Appealling to the union bosses in the defense contractor halls what about the Indian casionos, anything else? Without the machinery he can’t win this thing.
Linguistic anthropologists have faithfully reconstructed the deleted portions of Valley Girl’s post.
It is as follows:
Kerry is a $&!*^%% for #&@%$# the American people and the Democratic Party.
You will fight for every vote my #@!^%&*, Sen. Kerry, you #@&*#@, you.
Who the @#@!&^%* do you think you are, you @!*&^#@#!

(Or something like that. Hell, we’re just guessing here.)
with the remnants of all that Kerry cash, he coulda bought a whole heap of bigcity lawyering!
Treason, thy name is George W. Bush
Infamy is your legacy
Tyranny is your goal
With murder and mayhem your means
Disgrace will be your end
Rejoicing will flee from you
And cover the land
When finally you are gone
Away from us! Away from us!
And leave us alone
*ilson46201 @ 8:05 pm (#88) - Without solid evidence, all the lawyers in the world wouldn’t have helped. The design of the machines themselves ensures that there’s no audit trail, and no way of confirming either a design glitch or a deliberate miscount. So you’re left trying to prove a conspiracy, which is a slow, time consuming task at the best of times.
Kerry was a prosecutor for several years before he was elected. I suspect that if he had a case at the time, he would have pressed it.
fedlawyerdog. Totally taboo subject.
*ilson- exactly– and there were all kinds of stories about that circulating later- Kerry die hards insisting that the laywers were working hard, etc. etc. Nada. Kerry is a Beltway Dem.
Fedlawyerdog
I was thinking such cynical thoughts myself, Sad to find out I’m not alone. Damn!
apropos Kerry as a prosecutor: good point BUT he just appeared to let everything sorta slip and slide on by…leadership is also about leading an organized retreat without producing demoralized troops!
I’m withholding any judgments on the Ohio story until I read it and see what shakes out from it. That said, it’s pretty clear that Jeb Bush et al stole Florida and thereby the 2000 election. So there is a track record. Also as the Republican Party in Ohio implodes under the weight of its corruption, it would not be exactly surprising if a lot of stuff went on there in 2004.
Someone from New Jersey once told me the state motto was “If it’s not bolted down, it’s yours.” It sounds like the Bush modus operandi. I don’t know that they stole the 2004 election. I do know that with these guys they would have if they could have.
Cujo359- but there was so much other stuff, apart from the voting machines- Mr. Blackwell did so much that was illegal the whole Ohio result should have been thrown out.
Valley girl
You read my mind.
ok fedlawyerdog. sorry, you just gave me the shivers. I believe Ned has pretty savvy team working with him who are not new to politics in this region and can stay sterling. In my humble opinion, at least.
Of to bed. Catch ya’ll in the AM
as a successful businessman in CT, Ned Lamont is not unaware of contractors or ‘contractors’…
Cujo, now, I’m really sorry. It goes back to the youtube links. I said coz then I thought I misread that it was you posting them, so I was saying sorry to you for misstating. Turns out it was Cozumel all the time.
What a ditz.
night-night, not firing on all cylinders tonight.
sweet dreams, friends, maybe better tomorrow, ;~}
Hey man, there are some nice contractors here. I know, I know. They work hard and actually do what the trade is all about.
Valley Girl @ 8:13 pm (#96) - I think much of that knowledge came after the election.
I’m really troubled by what went on in Ohio. Even if it didn’t affect the outcome of any elections, it still was bad enough to make people mistrust the system. Unfortunately, we just don’t seem to be correcting the problem, which is the voting machines, the Help America Vote Act, and the partisan nature of many election commissions.
*ilson46201 brings up a good point - Kerry probably should have been clearer about what he knew and why he didn’t plan to do anything. But then, Kerry should have been clearer about many things.

A state of emergency
Bush is a danger to the constitution in his wartime capacity as commander in chief
Sidney Blumenthal
Thursday June 1, 2006
The Guardian
snip
In the short run, Bush’s defence of his war paradigm may precipitate three constitutional crises. In the first, freedom of the press is at issue. On May 21 Alberto Gonzales, the attorney general, announced the possibility that the New York Times would be prosecuted for publishing its Pulitzer prize-winning article on the administration’s domestic surveillance. “It can’t be the case,” he said, that the first amendment trumps the right of the government “to go after criminal activity”.
In the second case, a wartime executive above the law may be asserted. Last week the special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald, who charged the vice-president’s former chief of staff Lewis “Scooter” Libby with perjury and obstruction of justice, made plain his intention to summon Cheney to the witness stand to impeach Libby’s credibility or else commit perjury himself. But will the administration fight the subpoena as an infringement on a unitary executive that should be immune from such distractions in wartime?
In the third case, if either house of Congress should fall to the Democrats in the November midterm elections, the oversight suppressed during one-party rule would be restored. Would the administration refuse congressional requests for documents as it did when the Democratic Senate in Bush’s first year asked for those pertaining to Cheney’s energy taskforce, which reportedly included Enron’s CEO Ken Lay, last week convicted on numerous counts of fraud?

I’m organizing a cookbook of high profile Democrats as a fundraiser for our local Dem. committee. Ned Lamont sent me a couple of recipes. Actually, Lieberman sent me one, and that surprised the living daylights out of me.
LOL, Curious Jim at 19. “Joe-nertia” indeed!
#109– It’s getting late — I meant to say “I am organizing a cookbook of the recipes of high profile Democrats!”
Hugh 57 — that is one fucked up post. That guy’s never posted before on the HuffPo, Lieberman must’ve put him up to it.
What’s with his whole trip? “Joe Lieberman…we could do worse?” THAT’S his endorsement?
Because there aren’t enough Republicans on news shows….Mary Matalin hosting Charlie Rose tonite; topic media coverage of the Iraq war.
Might be interesting. Or not.
109: I would not eat any dish that had Lieberman as an ingredient. I’m just sayin’.
Lamont’s diary over at dailykos was amazing for several reasons. First, he stayed around to respond to questions. Other politicians have been drive-bys (Harry Reid excepted.) Second, he writes beautifully. That may disqualify him for the Senate, where functional illiteracy sometimes seems to be a job requirement. *g* Third, his daughter (I assume the one in the picture) helped him. What a refreshing change from politicians who trot their families out for photo ops and then ignore them. And finally, his answers were superb. Hot damn! I gave him some money earlier today, but I guess I’m going to have to give him some more.
Hugh >”…it`s pretty clear that Jeb Bush et al stole Florida and thereby the 2000 election…”
And here`s some well researched evidence (the author`s theory is VERY interesting ):
“There is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things.” - Niccol Machiavelli (The Prince, 1532)

They had a couple of oddball posters. Smerconish: Haditha not a crime just some understandable overreaction by a few Marines.
Solomonese: Lieberman is OK. He doesn’t hit me too much and only when I deserve it so I like him.

Pach@71 and Hugh~
Earlier today, I sent Solomonese a message at HRC. It was a bit terse although still respectful. Just withdrawing future support of HRC unless HRC withdrew support of Leiberman.
Here’s the Ned Lamont website to make a secure contribution. Do it now, you’ll feel better later.

Exhibit 1 in the YPD category is my beloved Senator Schumer, who couldn’t see his way clear to voting against Michael Hayden, when even quivering-knees Arlen managed to do the right thing.
I’m very much looking forward to attending the NYC fund-raiser for Ned this coming Monday, which is being held three blocks from my office, in Chelsea. It means I’ll have to blow off my first-time-dads-over-50 support group, but it is, after all, about securing a better future for miniralphbon.
