Unity 08 played a little lip service to the net - not sure if they are talking about the ‘ Rathergate’ net crowd though. That is all so far in the net past now too that it’s not funny.
Soon after that skuzzy hightide for the right blogosphere more people came online from outside Amerka than were in it and so the political plumb levels started correcting.
The blonde in the middle was weird - she framed one question as the people being sick of radicaly polarized politics…wtf!?
To have polarization you have to have an opposition!
So this unity 08 is centrust us when we move the center off to the lunar right and throw in a little net condescension. ( Oh and check the voting machines and ATM’s wontcha while yr at it) I don’t see any retreat to the Murtha line and a full strategic review of the entire Middle East.
I don’t see a Perot style balance the budget play.
I don’t see a sane universal health cover plan.
I don’t see any long overdue anti-corruption play.
I don’t see any progressive tax proposals - like a stiff estate tax.
I don’t see this bunch getting the cops out of the bedrooms let alone the living rooms of a lot of poor Amerkins.
I don’t see any energy sanity.
Public transport? Infrastructure? Real security?
Nothing much too see here folks - maybe you should move on. Someone forgot to rope in Jesse V from Minn. Thats the sort of unity 08 for which they have a cryin’ need.

Has it occured to any of y’all that the Sierra Club and LCV are not arms of the Democratic Party? You are partisan activists for the Dems; they’re partisan activists for the environment. Chafee, whatever his particular failings, has a far better voting record than a whole lot of Dems. Maybe y’all will take both houses in a historic sweep and usher in an era of sweetness and environmental progress. And, er, maybe not, and if the Club and other enviros screw the few remaining moderate Republicans who’ve supported them (for the most part) thus far, they’ll be even more screwed than they are now.

Punaise #117- no, actually, I happen to know that that is not the case. No cheating from *ilson. *ilson has had a long long history of giving the threads up! I have always found it mystifying. Perhaps that is why he has been granted magical powers.

196 punaise says:

Huckermill - how could we have missed it - it was right there staring us in the face:

“Coulter the Molter”!

%u2026and on that fine note%u2026.

“awaiting moderation” seems to be a fickle feature. The few times I’ve been subject to it, posts have appeared between five and 15 min. later, I guess.

(oh, and thanks for the “Vaya con Fritos”)

“Moultered Coulter”

Damn. Yer right. Nice one. I could crawl under a rock and just die for shame not to seen it.

Think there’s a ballad in there somewheres:

[sing along, now, you know the tune:]

Ann Coulter’s Undead Zombie Lies A-Moultering in the Grave …”

Mui,

I should not be so hard on Daily Kos, it is just that, after some weird exchanges in which I supported Jane here at Kos in the earlier days of FDL and was trashed for it, I have always felt that bullying was much more a part of the culture there than reason. I check in every day, but I just choose to talk among friends.

Here.

I don’t get to participate at FDL half as much as I want to (or anywhere near the amount I lurk) due to work, child, family, writing projects, tiredness, etc. But I can say — for me — participating on Kos made me more agitated and irritable while participating at FDL makes me feel better equipped to deal.

I don’t spend much time at DKos anymore, just read the front page stuff mostly. They do great work, but it just takes too much psychic energy to follow the comments.

See, there’s this other blog that’s caught my attention….
