When are we going to wake up? Today’s government devours rights – it doesn’t protect them. Gridlock (or a third party victory) is the best we can hope for.

1.Censure
2. Impeachment
3. No action at all.

Fact: Dick Cheney’s party has made cash dollars out of queer-bashing. The “homosexual agenda” is the wedge issue from Hell, as gays and lesbians are the last remaining social segment to whom it’s “okay” to deny American rights (just as although Constitutional rights were guaranteed on a Federal level to everyone, including Blacks, they had a heck of a time collecting on the deal).

Throughout all this, Mary Cheney has long worked as a high Republican operative to convince gays and lesbians that they had a stake in the GOP agenda (this, of course, is a lie, unless you consider the fact that DEFEATING the GOP may be the one means by which gays and lesbians keep themselves out of the gas chambers, worst case scenario). In fact, Mary Cheney’s entire career has been one big pile of cash and opportunity, based on nothing more than what she sleeps with at night.

John Edwards had every right to use the vice-presidential debates to illuminate the hypocrisy of Dick and his family. I will tell you: when he said what he said, I for one applauded him.

I assure you, when Mary Cheeny looked at Edwards and mouthed the words, “Go fuck yourself”, it wasn’t because, as a warm and sensitive human being, her diddle feelings were hurt. It was because, as a sociopathic GOP operative, her party was being, you’ll pardon the expression, “outed”. It was like the last scene in every “Mission: Impossible” TV episode, where the pigeons look around and realize that they, the Bad Guys, have been OUTSMARTED.

But the only reason the referees ultimately declared this a “gaffe” on Edwards’ part was because the MSM passively stenographed the GOP narrative that this was somehow off-limits for the Democrats. WHY? Is gayness only off-limits when Dick wants it to be… but when they need the queer vote, then it’s NOT?

Edwards’ point. And it ain’t like it’s the first time that the Official Story has been typed exactly as the GOP wanted it typed. But puh leeze, don’t gimme this hackneyed shit about how Edwards was out of line for mentioning it.

kristinejoy, I don’t know if you’re GLBT… I’m not, myself… but it seems to me you need to start learning about a very real effect of the so-called Republican noise machine: INTERNALIZING REPUBLICAN TALKING POINTS.
