I especially think this when they’re making valid criticisms. Dana Milbank may have made some criticisms of the Bush Administration back then, but his paper was largely cheering him on. If he doesn’t want to be lumped in with the others, he can just say that he has his opinions, and the paper has its own.</p> <p>I realize that Milbank’s tendency is to try to be funny - it’s his style. Unfortunately, when you’re being faced with serious and valid criticism, it’s sometimes better to forgo the punchline. Sigh – Iraqi police ‘killed 14-year-old boy for being homosexual’ I wish I could say i’m surprised by this but I’m amn’t. Homophobia and homophobic attacks are the norm in a civil war. I don’t know anything abut this boy or his family but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he had turned to prostitution to support his family.
