UPDATE: And now it’s official…announcement just made. MSNBC currently highlighting all the Snow comments about Bush incompetence. Oh yeah. This is gonna be fun for a few days. Oh, and ThinkProgress found some more Tony Snow gems — this time criticizing specific policies of the Bush Administration.
And the DSCC adds some more research on Snow Job quotes to the mix.
________________________________
It’s all but official at this point, we’re getting Tony "Snow Job" as the next WH spokesperson. And in an initial act of spin this morning, Snow and his WH cronies have thrown out an olive branch to the media:
Snow, 50, is particularly interested in economic and immigration issues. He intends to insist on greater access for White House reporters, said sources familiar with his plans. He has described the press corps as a beast that must be constantly fed. In a December 2000 column in the Washington Times, he referred to "Democrats and journalists (but I repeat myself)."
He has told associates he plans to function as an advocate for reporters, an approach that would run counter to the administration’s previous philosophy about the position. (emphasis mine)
It’s buried in the middle of a Howie Kurtz extravaganza in the WaPo, but Snow is throwing out a tray of cocktail weenies to the ravenous media hordes in advance of his ascension to the post of chief punching bag in the hopes that they will not notice Snow’s prior comments like this:
– Bush has “lost control of the federal budget and cannot resist the temptation to stop raiding the public fisc.” [3/17/06]– “When it comes to federal spending, George W. Bush is the boy who can’t say no. In each of his three years at the helm, the president has warned Congress to restrain its spending appetites, but so far nobody has pushed away from the table mainly because the president doesn’t seem to mean what he says.” [The Detroit News, 12/28/03]
– “The president doesn’t seem to give a rip about spending restraint.” [The Detroit News, 12/28/03]
– “Bush, for all his personal appeal, ultimately bolstered his detractors’ claims that he didn’t have the drive and work ethic to succeed.” [11/16/00]
ThinkProgress has much, much more on this — it’s a greatest hits collection of how much Tony Snow thinks George Bush sucks at his job. (Hmmmm….maybe he will represent the views and interests of mainstream America after all. Nah, I’m just kidding.) Going to make an interesting few weeks to start when Snow has to justify supporting current Administration positions that he has previously bashed in his long, long paper trail for not being conservative. Could be fun if all the journalists do their jobs on this one. "Snow melted by scorching questions…news at 11."
Sean-Paul is running a caption contest — go take a peek and submit your fave. Trust me, it’s worth the giggle this morning.
Oh, and don’t miss the part in Kurtz’s article where Brit Hume seems to suggest that Snow is motivated by his need to feed his ego. Oh yeah, that’s some brotherly love right there. You betcha.
There may be a honeymoon for Snow — especially given the fact that the WH press corps has really learned to despise McClellan’s whining and his smarmy stonewall tactics of late, so Snow will be given that fresh start leeway — but it will last only so long as reporters think that they can work Snow to their advantage. Because he posed as "one of them" for a while at Faux News, his fall from media grace may be uglier than usual — pack animals don’t like a traitor in their midst, especially one that tries to play them for a bunch of patsies.
Like I said, git out yer shovels. Could be an interesting summer…

Bush/Snow already refused to answer any questions. White House Press members were ignored.
fitz!
Given the incompetance of this administration, I really wonder if they were aware about Snow’s critique of the president.
Keith did it last night. Used the MM or TP quotes. He also joked with Greg Mitchell about turning down the job: “Oh yeah, they’re calling me.” with plenty of SNARK.
I love Keith — he’s been on this since the moment rumors surfaced. This is going to be an Olberman bonanza. hehehehe
Anyone know if Snow jobbed some plagiarism in his writings?
Greenwald!
Fitzgasm!!!!!!!!!!
We’re in for a heapin’ helpin’ of “Theater of the Absurd”. I can’t wait!
“George W. Bush is the boy” — Tony Snowjob, The Detroit News, 12/28/03
So who’s The Man–Cheney?
(quote unfairly taken out of context)
So, are the first questions for Frosty (the “Snowmanâ€) about his prior criticisms of Bush? Does he get the “Tony, you have been quoted as saying…..do you still hold that opinion?†Does the White House believe that by installing someone in that position who has a record of some criticism, both they and Snow will have more credibility? Will the media question Snow about his many misstatements – also chronicled by Think Progress?
Brit Hume seems a bit jealous…imagine that.
I saw on DU this morning that Tony Snow posted on Free Republic regularly. Why would they scrub all mention of him including his nic?
So our press secretary is aligned with the nastiest site on the web. They found screen shots and also a posting on a white supremicist site. This is rather strange. Why isnt he proud of who he is?
Kristi, I just saw “October Sky.” Thank you.
I find this kinda laughable:
“…function as an advocate for reporters…”
Wonder if he’s gonna exchange best practices advice w/Debster @ WaPoo and her methods of (allegedly) advocating.
OTOH:
I ‘love’ Tony Snow; he reminds me of my…BigBrother.
Just to be clear about the criticism angle: Tony Snow is criticizing Bush from the right. Their answer to their problems is to bring someone even more wingnuttier.
His answers to questions about the criticisms may very well be along the lines of “since the time when I said those things, the President has reconfirmed his commitment to conservative values, and I am here to help spread that message”, or some such.
Also, I think Mr. Snow is likely to find it easy to play the media. I believe he actually will push Bush’s comfort zone. Bush wants his press secretary to say nothing. Snow will want to change that, to say nothing important. Getting lots of unimportant tidbits will seem like such a sea change to the WH pool they will be fat and happy for a while.
David at #13 — glad you liked it. It’s a fantastic movie. I’ve had the good fortune to meet Roy Lee a couple of times — he and all the other folks involved in this are amazing, and I’m so glad that the movie treated them that way. And you see what I mean about that scene where he goes into the mines for the first time…always makes me cry, it’s just such a heartwrenching moment.
Is there any reason to even have a W.H. press briefing anymore? Seriously. They are next to useless. Press should boycott, or take turns going.
“…raiding the public fisc.” I dunno, somehow that sounds really PAINFUL.
Amid rampant speculation, it is rumored that Fox News and the Bush administration will be collaborating on a new program direct from the White House. An unnamed Fox source has confirmed the speculation and has provided some further information to Thought Theater. Bucking the trend towards reality based programming; the show is expected to be loosely based upon the selective facts surrounding the internal workings of the President and his policy operatives. The source went on to say that the program will have a superficial talk show – game show format where reporters will be allowed to ask questions and then each member of the White House Press Corp will use a hand-held device to vote on whether they believe the answers that are provided by Tony. Once the question and answer session is completed, the reporter with the most correct votes will enter a soundproof booth with Helen Thomas.
Helen will be wired with a microphone. Tony then turns on Helen’s mic and allows her to ask a question. Once the question has been asked, the Press Corp votes again on whether the question should be allowed or whether the winning reporter in the sound booth should bitch slap Helen and end her questioning. The unnamed source, when pressed, refused to acknowledge that the tabulation system had been provided by Diebold. At that point Brit Hume’s voice was overheard in the background calling for security. The phone then went silent. Efforts to contact (Juan) the source have since failed.

What if Tony Snowjob gave a presser and noboday showed up?
Except, of course, other FauxNews “reporters.”
THAT would make a statement.
Or, alternatively to not showing up, the press could simply listen to the Snowjob, and then not ask any questions.
email-post-email-post… HOTTEST topic. we will have NO FORUM if access to the internet is sold off. MAKE CALLS. vote will be soon.
George at #17 — when I was in college, I had a friend who went to Harvard who had a course with Henry Kissenger. Kissenger never showed up for said class, being too busy to actually teach it himself, but instead sent a student assistant to turn on a tape recorder every day of Kissenger giving the lecture he would have given in person had he bothered to be there at all. After a couple weeks of this, everyone just started trading off who would be the person who would go to class that morning with everyone’s digital cassette recorder to tape the taped lecture. My friend happened to be the designated person the one morning that Kissenger showed up for class — having had some international conference cancel or something — and they ended up going out for coffee and talking about several current issues in the news (which, of course, ended up being what was asked about on the final).
All this to say, wouldn’t it be funny if the major news organizations just had a designated tape recorder person? I know they can’t really do it on the off chance that someone will get a question answered or the press secretary will have a blabby day or something — but it would be awfully funny.
I keep hearing how Snow is going to take a pay cut to do this gig. (Wasn’t it Dana Milbank who suggested he needed to get back pay? But I digress)
I think we really need to probe this “pay cut” in depth. Will Snow release his tax returns and financial statements as well as any contracts he currently has with Fox News? After all, there are nearly three years left on of this president’s term of office. That’s a long time to go without that juicy paycheck. Here’s what I want to know: did Fox buy out the remainder of his contract? And if so, what were the severance terms? Does Fox get exclusives (I mean, even more mutual reach arounds than normal)? Inquiring minds want to know.
Way OT, but not really…does anyone but me think there’s a stalinesque purge going on in the CIA?
See Weldon disputes Sestak contribution
I sure wish they’d do something, anything to register thier disgust. I like Bobby’s idea, just sit silently. Or let Helen handle him.
Tony Snowprano transcript;

Christy- i like the idea of a designated tape recorder person in the back row, with Helen Thomas, front and center :)
Are you guys hearing this Condi/Rummy stuff about “drawing down” in Iraq? This is just incredible, the minute he hit 35%, out comes the propaganda. Addressing oil, ethanol, gas prices and drawing down all in 2 days…
Can you smell the desperation?
C’mon folks, does anyone really believe the WH is ignorant of all the previous snowballs that Snow lobbed against the WH? His critiques, if you can call them that, were part of his qualifications, since now the WH can claim that are open and fairminded, are not affraid of dissenters, and so on and so on. All the excitement about throwing Snow’s earlier remarks into his face only feed into the WH new meme that they are open and unafraid of criticism, while acting precisely the opposite, as in the firing of McCarthy.
Snow is exactly the man the are looking for to put on a new face or “openness.”
Oops, I meant “new face of openness.”
He does seem to have too much of an ego/history to be an effective press sec. It’s going to be too much about him. That job is best done by someone who has never represented his own opinions.
It will be interesting to see how this works (or doesn’t).
I love that Kissinger story, Christy, what a lucky guy. Although I can only listen to Henry for 5 minutes before my ears bleed, I like to read him a lot.
zennurse -
It IS pathetic, is it not? Desperate to not dip below 30%, ‘cuz even the MSM will be all over that number.
The Runaway Ego vs. The Iron Curtain. Yep, it will be interesting. From all that I read, I conclude that Snow fancies himself as a really bright guy who should be in on policy making. The Iron Curtain members will resist…but those battles will be in the shadows.
I look for Snow to make some gaffes. He’ll answer questions based on what HE thinks should be WH policy or stance. (that’s the runaway ego at work). Then the WH will have to box his ears.
Yep, this WILL be fun.
Ghostman
orangejumpsuit — of course it’s part of their tactic on this, but that doesn’t make it any less amusing to see how long the list really is of criticisms. Just because they think they can use a tactic to their advantage doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take it out, examine it and figure out how to turn it to our advantage instead. You don’t win the battle by rolling over.
Bush mentioned in his comments that Snow had not always agreed with him. To me, it just goes to his credibility and how much of his earnestness in this role is simply power hunger and sucking up. I wouldn’t be so surprised that he took a pay cut, it’s only for 2 years. It’s the cred for someone like him, think of where he can go after this, if he makes it through.
What a joke. The entire corporate media is pure crap, puppets for the POTUS. Example: when I registered with WaPo online, I set it up for news alerts like those I used to get from NYT. NYT’s was daily; WaPo only sends alerts on some abitrarily determined basis. I’ve gotten about a dozen alerts in the last year, although I can’t be sure how many exactly, months have gone by without a single alert. Wouldn’t you know it: Snow’s new position as Chief White House Sycophant is one of the rare alerts I receive from WaPo.
Pathetic.
Snow saying he’ll be an advocate for reporters reminds me of one time at a car dealership. The young salesmen at one point said to me “I’m really on YOUR side.” At that point I knew I wasn’t going to buy anything from him.
Further, if he has previously been so critical of Bush and things have only deteriorated since that time, why should he have any credibility defending the administration now; I see it working for the freeper base, but maybe not so much for disenchanted middles.
It’s just like Bush’s usual train of thought:
Oops! well, shucks, jes move along now, the good news is over here.
zennurse at 37:
I actually think just the opposite. It is a better transition to go from WH press sec. to TV pundit. To go backwards from professional pontificating to towing the boss’ line seems like a step in the wrong direction.
I haven’t gone to see what quotes Think Progress came up with, but here are a few that suggest reasons why Bush might like the Abominable Snowman….
The Kyoto treaty is a fraud and a catastrophically bad deal for the United States.
Tony Snow
The real sin with Social Security is that it’s a long-term rip-off and a short-term scam.
Tony Snow
American journalists and politicians made a perfect spectacle of themselves in discussing the Abu Ghraib prison controversy.
Tony Snow
Christy, 36
I agree with what you say, but I doubt if this will ever amount to more than a rhetorical snowball fight. The key is what he says from now on, not what he said before, and that remains to be seen. We have to catch him on future spin and future lies. It will be interesting to see if he morphs into Scotty II.
Clearly, this is just another example of the Liberal Media Bias that operates all over the United States. Tony Snow is just another one of the Liberal elitists who is pushing is Liberal views onto the regular good old folks of middle America.
orangejumpsuit: he will have to morph into scotty II or he will not stay in the job. You can’t freelance in that job. You are a robot or you are gone.
Look! Here in North Dakota the last of the Snow just melted. We do not speak of the vile stuff. No SNOWBUSHES. No SNOWSHOVELS. No SNOWBLOWERS. No SNOWBALLS. And most certainly, No SNOWJOBS. Can’t we just enjoy little spring around here. sigh
Zennurse: The pay cut thing has come up too many times for me not to smell something funny in it. One would expect him to give up his lucrative salary at Fox from this day forward but my question is whether Fox made a substantial deposit to his bank account over the past couple of days. It wouldn’t matter whether his actual WH paycheck is smaller if Fox essentially paid him upfront. As to what happens to him after his WH days are over, I guess he can go back to Fox. In an odd way, he’s put the cart before the horse. Most “journalists”/pundits have to do the WH press sec thing BEFORE they get the lucrative network shows. He was a speechwriter for Bush I and editorial page editor for the Washington Times. He’s already doing pretty well for himself. He didn’t need the WH as much as they think they need him. So, what’s in it for him? C’mon, Reuplicans never do quid without pro quo.
And while we’re at it, what is his connection to Moon’s Unification Church? They own the Washington Times, right?
Questions. So many questions. Heck, if we make the gaggle about Snow, will Bush ever be able to spin anything? It’s worth a shot.
Rayne, from prev thread:
What does this mean?
“First, I’ve already pinged Levin F2F about the PSI; “
Are you really a spook? ;-)
portia, I doubt FOX would do anything as obvious and traceable as a big deposit, but he probably got a nice package for “taking one for the team”. But people do take pay cuts for causes too. Would he? No idea. I don’t watch Fox. I watch the Bush administration.
Also, if the gaggle is about Snow, I will be very sorry, considering the drumbeat about Rumsfeld and Cheney, Rumsfeld showing up in Baghdad and Bush’s seemingly new personality on oil. There are bigger issues than this, Snow will develop over time, like a night-time soap opera.
I need to get a clean jpeg shot of that presser podium and change the name on the emblem behind it from “THE WHITE HOUSE” to “THE FOX HOUSE” to accurately reflect the reality.
Speak for yerself, ReneND–it’s downright balmy in Fargo. Snow? Nah, we don’t need no stinking snow around here. We shovel enough of it from Washington…
and totally OT–if there are marathoners here among the firedogs, Fargo has a great one coming up May 20…flat course, qualifier for Boston, friendly folks, over 4000 entries from 46 states and growing…
check it out at fargomarathon.com
I’ll be the one sitting on my front porch with the doggies watching the runners go by…or not. This is cabin season….

“It’s hard to know quite how to riff on the Tony Snow appointment since the joke sort of tells itself and it’s hard to improve on that. But as TPM Reader JE asks, does Tony have to quit his job at Fox? Or can it be a joint appointment?
And going back to the on-going debate about Valerie Plame, was Tony really a covert at Fox or was he just under light cover?
– Josh Marshall”
WHOAH…wait a minute!
“Snow intends to insist on greater access for White House Reporters…”
Having to preface ‘insists’ with ‘intends to’
is a clever yet transparent way of saying better access for White House Reporters IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!
P.S. I just saw this pointed out. The Dixie Chicks were banned, boycotted, received death threats (and still are) for saying they were EMBARRASSED by George Bush. They were labeled traitors, treasonists, un-American.
But Tony is awarded the job of Press Secretary when he says he’s EMBARRASSED by Bush!
You now see Fox News et al out in full force reducing and excusing Tony’s embarrassment comment and his other numerous brutal criticisms of Bush. They’re saying, ’see, Bush does listen to other people’s opinions and ‘constructive criticism’!
wtf?
Can you imagine what would have happened to the Dixie Chicks if THEY had called Bush “IMPOTENT” as Tony Snow has??
I’m just waiting for Tony Snow’s Colon Cancer, in which he had to have his intestines removed, will be used by the Bush Loyalists to insist that ‘those mean, vicious White House reporters better be nice to Tony and that it will cause his cancer to spread if you ask him tough questions! Ohhhh, just you wait. These guys are desperate and manipulative enough to disgustingly use this to their advantage. I pick Sean Hannity to be the 1st to use this excuse to smear the White House Press Corp.
…here’s what happened when the Dixie Chicks said they were embarrassed:

OT, but just read at Yahoo that Fitz is with the Grand Jury today – YAY!
OT but important
I just received a phone call from the ACLU. They said that the Senate will be voting tomorrow morning on two bills regarding the NSA domestic spying, SB 2453 and SB 2455. My understanding is that these bills would legitimize the illegal domestic spying that has taken place and also would broaden the government’s powers to do domestic spying. The ACLU said there are serious unanswered questions about how broad this authority would be. You might want to call your senators today. Here is a link that discusses SB 2453:
http://www.aclu.org/safefree/n…..60406.html
About the colon cancer issue, maybe a WH Press journalist might ask him if his own treatment gave him a new perspective on how the middle class is dealing with the healthcare crisis. Would he care to comment on reports that Blue Cross looks for excuses to terminate coverage for people with cancer?
A month, 2 tops.
I predict that it will take about 2, maybe 3, turns at the podium before the White House has a “come to Jesus†meeting with Tony and reminds him that he’s supposed to be speaking what the White House wants him to say, and not what he thinks the White House should be saying.
There is so little of substance in these gaggles that the only value is in the entertainment.
zennurse (48) — heh. That made my day, have to relate that to my kids. Seems their friends also think I’m a spook. I am, but I’m a specialist in competitive intelligence in software market, not a real spook.
What I meant last thread was that I’ve actually spoken with Sen. Levin about the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations about a number of contracts being let by DoD that are very suspicious. It looks like I need to have another conversation with him or his office on this particular matter, with regard to convening on the larger matter of profiteering, so that it remains in the forefront.
What will be critical from here going forward is that every single Democratic Senator must have clean hands, dissociated entirely from any financial encumbrance with the military-industrial complex. If we are able to take back the Senate in November, there must be NO Dem back-pedaling on investigations. We must lay the ground work for a purge of all corruption from the DoD and the rest of government, and we can’t do it if any Dem has a conflict. The K Street Project has done a pretty effective job of cutting out Dems from any opportunities for financial gain, but we know the rule: I0KIYAR. Just as a blow-job is an impeachable offense but starting a war based on lies is not, the Republicans as a minority will expect Dems to operate to a much higher standard, AND WE MUST, if we are to make it crystal-clear to the American public that we are heads and shoulders better than Republicans. It cannot be business as usual, no ethical backsliding, and we must pledge this to every voter — the eople are our only special interest.
everhopeful– be still my heart. ;)
neurophius– thank you.
OT – From Think Progress today:
“Meanwhile, “GOP negotiators have decided to knock out provisions in a major tax bill that would force the oil companies to pay†some $5 billion in taxes over five years “primarily by changing arcane accounting rules that have allowed oil companies to substantially lower their tax bills.â€â€
Guess the oil company execs don’t wnat something like taxes to cut into their compensation and retirement packages…or is it that taxes discourage investment in new technology?
Nor’easter of Lies Dumps Nearly Two Feet on top of Tony Snow
A major storm slammed into the White House with nearly 2 feet of lies on Wednesday, nearing record levels, shutting down serious questions from the WSP (Washington Steno Pool).
By late morning, 22.8 inches of lies had fallen, Washington’s second heaviest liefall on record, surpassed only by the 26.4 inches that fell on Scott McClennan in 2005.
“This is a dangerous storm brewing in Washington,” John Ashcroft said as he urged people to stay home.
The city had more than 2,500 lie plows and lie spreaders at work, along with lie-melting machines that could dispose of up to 60 tons of lies per hour, officials said.
Radar showed lies falling from eastern Virginia to Maine as the nor’easter crawled up the coast. Behind the storm, pockets of lies were scattered across the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley, south to Tennessee and North Carolina.
Whiteout conditions were reported around Philadelphia and Trenton, N.J., with northerly lies gusting to 40 mph.
“It’s taking us a long time to even get to the locations where we can begin the restoration process….had we known…….” Condi chimed in.
What a snarkilicious introductory speech Bush gave. I swear, thanks to the hard work of the folks ast Think Progress, this is going to be a whole lot of fun with Snow as press secretary.
Any nicknames in the offing for Snow?
Slush Puppy?
Scarface (Tony Montana = coke = snow)?
Karl Rove is meeting with Fitzy and his own lawyer!!! John King reporting on CNN. Yippee!
Let’s see: Snow has savaged Bush in the past, has deified Bush in the past, seems to be a Moonie, is recovering form colon cancer, has taken a pay cut to take on a thankless job, has buddies at Fox to whom he can channel hot and upcoming
newsspin, and smiles too much for a normal human being in these sad times.Innaresting.
I see a megabucks book contract in his future that he must already be working on.
New Fitz news!
John King– ‘Karl has left the White House this morning’– ooh, let it be a frogmarch soon!
‘They hope it will soon be behind him, reporting this story is very sensitive’
Do you think the Snowman has Steno Sue on speed dial yet?
RE: my 56 above
BTW the ACLU caller did NOT ask for money. They are calling for action. They must think this is pretty serious.

Here’s a project for Think Progress, or whoever –
Compile a list of Tony Snow quotes, from the same date in previous years. Pass them out at the gaggle, and see what happens.
“Today, April 26th, White House Spokesman Tony Snow said that George W Bush is a poopyhead and not a real conservative — oh, wait . . . Tony Snow said that on April 26th 2005. Nevermind.”
neurophius (56) – thanks, will get on that phone call. Have to call Levin’s office anyhow…heh.
new thread –
I keep thinking of the movie the Fly. The climax revealing a hideous man-fly hybrid unable to exist in the worlds that spawned it. FOX and the White House.
I thought the blur between fictional and documentary television reached its nadir with the DC novella, MONIKA y LA POTUS. But this Snow manuever is a brilliant way to personalize the struggle between the Good and the Evil. And for 32% of the country, it’s the perfectly natural thing to do. The cult of FOX wll be comforted by a familiar face channeling the Leader. One of their own to reinforce the righteous; shoring up the Truth. The merge will be complete. FOX goes from ‘de facto’ to annointed.
Now, how to bring back the masses? Let’s get pitbull: FOX doesn’t care about you. FOX cares about rich people. FOX doesn’t care that you can’t afford the gas for your bass boat. FOX does care about private country clubs and valet parking. FOX shows a lot of rich people doing expensive glamourous stuff. FOX doesn’t show you getting any richer. FOX shows NASCAR, but only for the ad money. FOX is elitist. FOX is a biased, elitist fraud that thinks you’re stupid. FOX thinks you’re stupid.
Well are you NASCAR boy?
Any traction?
‘ee’s the chief snowblower, ‘ee is!
FITZ, FEINGOLD & fuhfuhfuhfuhfuhfuh FIRE DOG LAKE!!!!!!!!!
Rove will testify !!!
Now it’s like one stop shopping for neocon kool-aid drinkers; instead of hearing the lie from the white house and then hearing it spun later on Faux News, now they can get the lie and the spin all at one time at the gaggle!
Either that or it’s like Faux just syndicated its “content” to C-SPAN
rats….Bobby @ #20 beat me to it….I was thinking we should rename the WH press conferences Snow-jobs.
they’ll soon meet the def…literally and figuratively.
Why would Snow join in the criminal complicity festering in the WH, and thereby jeopardize his future exoneration, unless he realized that he is guilty of complicity in the cover-up(s) by virtue of his role with Fox? There would seem to be no real upside, and tremendous risk!!
I hope the WH Press Corps tears him to pieces, and incites his prima donna temper!!
Go Fitz!!
Styve
There was a diary on DailyKos this week that listed all the comments Snow’d apparently made as a registered Freeper on FreeRepublic.com — comments that have been zapped by JimRob, but which alert Kossacks threadsucked for posterity.
In closing I think we can all agree…..
That the White House has now merged its media operations more closely with its parent company Fox News
Wait, his nickname needs to be modelled on the mafia, trust me on this.
We need to call him Tony “The Job” Snow
It leaves the mind open to contemplate all the jobs he does, some while kneeling I’m sure :)
I was listening to Imus this morning who adores David Gregory. David called in and they spoke of the possible new dynamic for the morning White House Press Conferences.
Imus said to David that on Tony’s first day, David better make it clear that Tony is his bitch! Hillarious…
David Gregory was the first and only voice I heard RIGHT after Bush’s uncomfortable presentation of his new puppet this morning.
Right on David Gregory! Keep on doing your job with the determination and perserverance that many in The White House Press Corp have abandoned or have been intimidated from doing.
A primary reason to BE in the White House Press Corp is to speak truth to power!
