Dear Jane

I am late with this response.

I have a complaint with Arianna and I do not love her.

There is something strange with her management of poster comments.

I post– the comment does NOT appear

I do not use ad homenm. I do not use profanity. I simply post my opinion. I am registered and as such have been informed that I can post “instantly” in any thread.

That is NOt THE CASE

I HAVE GIVEN ARIANNA MY REAL NAME, MY E-MAIL ADDY, AND ALL THE INFORMATION SHE ASKS FOR. have written to her or her staff to ask why.

No one has replied to my queries with the exception of a very nice Michele Pilecki

There is I think, manipulation of the posts on the huff post, especially the blogs

The Huff post seems to be another advertising pull the wool over the people’s eye

Arianna posts a controversial issue, such as the response, or the none response, of HIllary Clinton or the recent flip flop by Newt Gingrich The response is pretty much responded to by many posters. Except some posters posts are not posted, such as mine. And this has b ee consistent over time even though I am supposedly a}
trusted user”

But if some are not being posted, one would wonder just how much the sincere and going by rules commentary is being squelched.

his needs to be fixed by Arianna. I wonder, really if she does read the comments and if she is indeed aware that some of them are NOT being posted.

Thus is my beef with the Huffington Post.

Thank you

106 posts and there’s one, 99, that KINDA acknowledges that Gingrinch did not disavow the war but was criticizing Bremers handling of the occupation. Gingrinch’s statement is here along with a link to the speech. Get out of the echo chamber once in a while.

I agree we shouldn’t give complete amnesty to people like Newt, but your desire to hold him “accountable” seems a bit unrealistic. Newt’s comments were right on par with those of hundreds or thousands of other Republicans (and even a few Democrats) but now that Newt comes halfway clean, he gets more flack for his past statements than they do for what they say right now.

If this were really about accountability, why does the recanter get more criticism than the unapologetic McCarthyites who persist unabated? Are we only able to hold people accountable once they admit their own mistakes? If so, how are we ever going to hold those 95% accountable who will probably never admit that the Iraq war was a mistake, let alone that they enabled the most un-American, anti-Democratic backpedaling in our nation’s history.

I agree with you that we shouldn’t just blow smoke up Newt’s ass for realizing what we all knew in 2002, but I don’t believe for a second that this is about accountability.

Newt’s former Sargent at Arms and also his former Staffers were big stovepipes within or dealing with OSP and the Iraq Survey group during the runup to Waterloo.

George W.aterloo Bush is someone Newt had a crush on from day one.
