The democratic party does not need another demented creature. We have already done the Zell thing, thank you.

Lieberman needs to be voted out of office. He has been a shill for the worst administration ever to run this country. He is a traitor to democracy.

It’s real simple, actually.

Being a Connecticut native myself, I took special note back in 2004 of the timing of when Lieberman dropped out of the 2004 Democratic presidential primary race, a timing which just happened to be just before Connecticut was itself to have its own Democratic presidential primary.

Now why do you suppose that Lieberman, being a Connecticut favorite son and all, did not at least run in the 2004 Connecticut Democratic presidential primary for ha-ha’s and at least accrue all the political capital and good vibes that a native son typically gets doing such?

Well, I strongly believe that Lieberman strategically avoided the 2004 Connecticut Democratic presidential primary because Lieberman had concluded that he would have LOST BADLY in such and he would have thus been profoundly humiliated in and by his own native son state.

You see, Lieberman already knew back in 2004 that because of his nutcase hawkish iraq war position that he was already dogmeat with the kind of progressive Connecticut Democrat that typically dominates Connecticut’s Democratic primaries, in which only registered Democrats can participate.

Now, if back in 2004 Lieberman already knew that he was dogmeat with the Connecticut Democratic primary-voting base enough to scare him out of running in the 2004 Connecticut Democratic presidential primary, you can just imagine how much MORE Lieberman fears that same progressive Connecticut Democratic primary-voting base now in 2006!

So, despite all the haughty “victory” talk by Lieberman and Dodd and Nancy DiNardo, I really think that Lieberman himself secretly already believes that he would LOSE to Lamont in the 2006 Connecticut Democratic senatorial primary, just like Lieberman feared & believed back in 2004!

Today I called the national DSCC (202 224-2447) and I said to them that in light of the fact that it is now stated in black & white (ie, in an NYT article today) that Lieberman will not rule out a run as an independent and thus may run as an OPPONENT of the Democratic Party, that it is therefore my request as a registered CT Democrat that from this point on the DSCC should remain strictly neutral regarding the Lieberman-Lamont race, ie, the DSCC should not be in the business of supporting potential opponents of the Democratic Party like Lieberman. (I also called Lieberman’s office today and told them what I told the DSCC; I did such because Lieberman’s office staff must be informed directly as to what a disloyal self-absorbed dork Lieberman now looks like, and how P-O’ed we Dems are at him!)

I also called the Connecticut Democratic Party and left a message for their chairwoman (and big Lieberman supporter) Nancy DiNardo, and I essentially expressed the same sentiment, ie, considering that it is now clear that Lieberman may run as an independent and thus may run as an opponent of the Connecticut Democratic Party, that from this point on the Connecticut Democratic Party and Nancy DiNardo herself should cease all such public declarations of support for Lieberman.

So, in addition to calling the DSCC, please also call Nancy DiNardo (ask to leave a message for her specifically) at: 860 560-1775.

We need to keep giving these inner circle Dem party machine types he** about Lieberman!

PS: I also said this to Nancy DiNardo in reference to her NYT quote today that “He’s [Lieberman’s] always been a good Democrat”, to which I said, GOOD DEMOCRATS DO NOT ENTERTAIN THE POSSIBILITY OF RUNNING AGAINST THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY AS AN INDEPENDENT, AND GOOD DEMOCRATS DO NOT RUN AGAINST THE WILL OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY RANK-AND-FILE AS EXPRESSED VIA A PRIMARY!!

So, let’s keep the pressure on these pro-Lieberman Dem party machine types like the DSCC in DC and Nancy DiNardo here in CT and let them know that the whole world is now watching them!
