I apologise…for failing to use a more obvious irony indicator in my comments. At the time I posted them, I thought a simple :-) would be sufficient.
My comment #63 references the well-known fact that the word ‘whore’ is used to slander sexually promiscuous women, while the complimentary title ’stud’ is awarded to promiscuous men. My comments were meant to highlight the gender specificity of these terms, and the fact that ‘whore’ is a pejorative but ’stud’ is not, even though the meaning of the words is essentially the same.
