Today’s Huffington Post has Seymour Hersh’s article, “The Iran Plans,” published in the upcoming issue of The New Yorker, stating the “Bush Administration has…intensified planning for a possible major air attack.” Frightening report and one not to be doubted.

Just wondering, since we can’t get McClellan to answer a simple, straight question, can’t we just ask Judy Miller to confirm once again the date of her conversation with Libby?

I know it is asking the obvious, but at least we would have a date that is clearly earlier than when he said the information was declassified on 7/18/03.

The “I was too busy to remember this” argument has a certain amount of tension with the “this was a unique circumstance requiring presidential approval and a review by a national security law expert” before the dimly recalled conversation.

It’s interesting that they’d even raise the former with the latter on the record. IANAL, but that seems pretty desperate to me.

I look forward to the day that Bush and his whole administration are accountable for all their crimes. In the meantime however, I would really like too see a reporter say to Scott.

Scott did you know that you are no longer considerd credible and are being called Bagdad Scott because everyone thinks your a joke just like Bagdad Bob was?

I would laugh til my sides split if that happend and was a constant replay on all the news networks.

PS: I am not a Troll. It just took me 10 hours to catch up from yesterday. My time online is generally short so between reading FDL first like I always do, I also read several other blogs. However, FDL is the best thing on the web I have found.

Thank you Christy and Redd for all the time and effort you put in to bring us the truth. It is greatly appreciated.

Christy, Christy!!! You go girl! That was wonderful. Hell, I had printed the whole document out yesterday at work and spent my lunch hour reading and highlighting it for the pure and utter joy it gave me. You can’t imagine how delighted I was to see you cover each and every point I had highlighted for myself. Yeah, I know, I’m no attorney, just clearly nuts for spending an lunch hour like that.

A quick question. On page two Fitz says:

“The government also is currently in the process of providing defendant with additional discovery concerning his morning intelligence briefings during the periods of June 7-14,2003, October 12-16,2003, November 24-28,2003, March 3-7,2003, and March 22-26,2003, pursuant to the Court â€™s Order of March 10,2006.”

This is in relation to the PDB’s (Book Three) that the judge is allowing to be used to show Libby’s “busy” schedule, no? The bare bones of what was allowed. Did I read correctly in the judge’s order that the administration had until April 7th to argue this, i.e. claim “national security” and withhold them thus shutting down the investigation? And since today came and went without such, are we past the worries of greymail and the case getting shut down?

Look, if something’s declassified, then it’s public and everyone can see it. This clandestine leaking of selected tidbits doesn’t pass the laugh test. It stinks to high heaven. Procedural questions aside, one can’t just clandestinely tell one reporter selected facts extracted from secret documents and call it a declassification. That’s bullshit.

It looks like Bush’s defense of his actions is basically that he is a King, and everything he does is legal. That kind of thinking needs to be resisted vigorously. If we don’t roll back the fascist power grab by our government, there will be a very violent civil war right here, very soon.

granite - heh heh heh, here’s the funny part. See, Bush CAN’T come out and explain anything…..he has clearly demonstrated over and over again that he is above everybody else and owes no one an explanation - much less an apology. It goes completely against his very nature to even consider that which you are suggesting. Nope…can’t be done. I truly believe he would literally implode or spontaneously combust before he would grovel to the little people beneath him. Heh heh heh!!!
