I have been unable to log onto the site all day (get Page Cannot Be Displayed–Is Currently Unavailable…). Tonight, I am finally here–hallelujah!!!
I was beginning to go into withdrawal.

It it 2:40am Central Time where I am (MO) and the most recent post is “And The Good News Is…” It says there are no comments (which I find, quite frankly, unbelievable. I clicked anyway, and guess what–no comments were displayed. Also, there are no longer e-mail capabilities available to Jane or Redd/Christy.

Thanks, Jane and Redd/Christy for the wonderful site and your obviously frustating diligence and perserverence to excellence and getting things correct–in the posts and at the new site. And I appreciate and learn so much from you and the commentors. Thank you.

Having said that, though, I just can’t believe his Rebecca of Sunnybrook farm approach when it comes to saving whales and children. He seems to lack any sophistication at all about the darker parts of the human psyche. And then, there’s Tipper — gawd! How’d you like to be *her* teenage son or daughter.

Okay, Jimmy Carter was something of a prude too — concerned about lusting in his heart, etc., — and I admit that he didn’t make such a bad President. So maybe this isn’t a deal breaker, especially considering the alternatives, but I’d feel a lot happier with him if he’d at least to appear to have an Id once in a while. More to the point, I’d feel a lot safer if he’d acknowledge that the rest of us have one, and that we don’t want to give it up so that his kiddies won’t ever see anything bad.

Redd–I like “government-forced birth” even better–it reminds people who is to blame, and ought to force true conservatives to look at the issue differenty. If the government can force you to give birth, what can’t it force you to do?

Even CNBC may no longer be safe.

I like “Constitution Patriot.” For me, that get to the very core of what’s at stake here, and where our allegiance is. The Constitution is the ground of what defines America. Not the current regime in power, not the talking points du jour, not party platforms.

I’m sorry, but “Accountablity Patriots” sounds like we’re running around in green eyeshades, calculating costs vs. benefits or some such. Come to think of it, that’s the disease that’s got ahold of the DLC and Democratic so-called leadership in Congress . . .
