We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused by our growing pains, we appreciate everyone hanging in there with us. The bad news is our traffic is so much bigger than anyone anticipated we blew through one server after another today. The good news is our traffic is so much bigger than anyone anticipated that we’re having this kind of problem. Fortunately the amazing Jamie is on the case, the people at HostGator have been really helpful and we’re going to go back to HaloScan commenting in order to cut down on the server load.

One way or another we’ll get it figured out, both Redd and I are absolutely in love with the new WordPress software which allows you to highlight anything and drag it into your editor and it will transfer over formatting, links and all. It cuts down on our posting time by probably 50%. It’s not the best platform for a blog with heavy commenting according to the Think Progress folks who also use it so we’ll see if we can somehow combine the best of both worlds. A lot of people are going to be able to go to school on our transition so don’t worry, I’m taking notes.
