It’s being reported in the comments that Boxer says she will support the resolution although I wasn’t able to confirm it when I called her office (San Francisco didn’t know, DC was closed). And Holy Joe doesn’t let us down:
But Sen. Joe Lieberman, D- Conn., voiced some misgivings and hinted that he’d vote no on the Feingold resolution.
“Frankly I’d prefer to spend our time on figuring out ways to bring this very important program of surveillance of potential terrorists here in the United States under the law…. I disagree with the Bush administration’s legal judgment on this one…. But this is a critically important program to the prevention of terrorist acts here in the United States.”
While Lieberman worships in the Bush Cargo Cult, Ned Lamont officially announced his candidacy today at a kick-off party. Howie Klein reviews the music.
You can say thanks for the Joementum by giving to Ned Lamont.
Update: Lieberman also does the honors trashing Feingold with the Washington Post, saying he’d prefer to "’solve the problem’ rather than scold the president."
Update II: Redd will be on Majority Report with Sam Seder tonight at 5:04 PST/8:04 EST.

A suggestion: When you give to the Ned Lamont campaign, and I think you should, call Lieberman’s office at 202-224-4041 and let them know how much and how often.
With each passing day, Holy Joe more closely resembles Mr. Burns from the Simpsons
“Smithers… get me a coat hanger…!!”
By the way: Bill Frist thinks that censuring a wartime president for illegally spying on Americans and then lying about it is a “crazy political move”.
But when it came to punishing Bill Clinton for winning the 1992 and 1996 elections, censure wasn’t anywhere near harsh enough for Frist and his Republican buddies.
Decided I’d practice comment tests in a non-active thread…

Ok, smilies don’t work for me…
Please see the Hartford Courant, who misquoted Lamont by saying he’d called Joe “a Jew” – see Kos diary:

Thanks Jane for your superb reports on the hapless Sen. Joe Lieberman. I just talked with a staffer in his office – oh so politely requesting that he give a message to his Senator that while I live on the California coast my money and my efforts to elect Ned Lamont is among my highest grass roots campaign priorities now through the fall election. He was clearly rattled and asked me to please hold so he could forward my call to his “manager”. “Don’t bother dear”, I purred, bidding him a sweet “good day and good luck”. HA! Who’d have thought a matter so serious could be such fun.
