They can’t read analytically, hate to (infotainment culture creatures that they are), but, of course, ALL expect at least a “B” just for showing up. I’ve been taken to my Sups twice over C- grades (that probably should have been “F”).</p> <p>Our U admits to roughly 50% of incoming freshmen being remanded to Remedial.</p> <p>Most of what we label “Critical Thinking” where I teach is really just high school level English Comprehension 101.
