After first catching him at a “talking blues” workshop, I followed him from stage to stage for the rest of the weekend. Not only was this man a wizard on any instrument he held, but he exhibited wit and charisma that most cult leaders would kill for.</p> <p>I’m happy that he went quietly and in comfort.</p> I had the sincere pleasure of seeing Gatemouth Brown in the late ’90s at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival.
