And he thought Tom Wolfe was a crap novelist. Oh and Jack Nicholson always said the role he really wanted to play was Henderson in Henderson the Rain King.

Keeping the stiffle on our Lit geek is like putting a lid on a boiling roil, but Bellows is a great loss and just when we were still smarting the passing of Susan Sontag.
Bellow was Chicago’s steel, bricks, and stockyards to Tennessee William’s stiffled passion, lacy fans and rotting magnolias.
Ahhh a passing worthy of note indeed. The self-proclaimed serial husband will pen no more. The loss is truly ours.
