Under the Taliban heroin production had fallen to an historical low (now it’s at a high, btw.)</p> <p>Various women’s groups protested this action, pointing out that the Taliban were incredibly opressive towards women. The press barely reported their protests, and in<br /> the miniscule column-inches they got it was hinted that these green, tree-hugging, presumably bra-less, feminists were naive as to the ways of the world when they warned us as to the character of the Taliban.
